      Cheysdreamer's Workbook

Mostly just extremely excited to meet others like me!

      Reality Checks

      1) I already ask myself a lot if I'm dreaming
      2) I tend to pinch myself and expect it not to hurt
      3) Going to start trying the thumb through hand
      4) Going to try the counting fingers

      Dream Signs

      1) Entering through a floating door or a door that appears out of nowhere
      2) My stunning black haired piercing blued eyed boy (always while I was younger and now recently back)

      Short-term goals

      1) To have more dream control. Even simple as transforming to the correct animal at will. (wolf or hawk for me)
      2) To try other methods of induction
      3) To increase my memory recall

      Long-term goals

      1) To gain total dream control.
      2) To learn to help others
      3) To just plain enjoy what I already enjoy!

      Lucid/Dream Recall History

I am 21 and have been having lucid dreams for as long as I remember. Couldn't even tell you when the first was because I was so young. I have lucid dreams probably 95% of the time and if I don't then all I get are feelings, no real dream visualized. I didn't learn about lucid dreams until I was in high school and even though it interested me, I didn't look much further than that. It wasn't until just a few days ago that I begun searching and came across this site.

I have been able to transform into a wolf or a hawk, and only ONCE was I a dragon thing, otherwise always the same and sometimes I fight it to be which one I want. I also can fly often. Sometimes I lose control of it and do fall. I sometimes can control the things around me and create doors to escape from danger in dreams.

I have a dream guy. Although I am married in real life, I have this guy. He first showed up when I was very little up till 16 to where he disappeared for awhile, and most my dreams after that took on a more fearful, anxious, nervous vibe. A few days ago, and why I looked and found this site, he reappeared in my dreams. When he is there and I see him, I'm always relaxed, happy, I feel safe.

I have occasionally had dream so real and me so involved I did think they were real but upon asking the people that were supposedly there, they do not recall such an event, is how I know its a dream. I have this happen probably once a year.

I have also had what I'd consider precognitive. I honestly think I pick up cues in real life and my subconcious sorts it out in my dream to seem like I saw the future. I knew the day before I got my first horses that I was getting them and what they looked like. Same with one of my dogs. The most confusing one was for the US... I had a dream the week before 911 that a plane crashed into the two tall buildings. I saw lots of fire. I was in 4th grade at the time and had never seen a building that big in my life. First time I have allowed this to be known to public. I told my parents though, when I did dream it. That was the most confusing one.

Have also been able to fall back asleep into the same dream and continue forth.

I sleep generally from 10-11pm to 7-8 am. Any less and I'm a crabby bear.

I am definitely ready to learn more!

      Current Techniques

      1) naturally DILD
      2) naturally WBTB ( I always wake up roughly 90 minutes apart all night long.)
      3) a few times DEILD
      4) I'm pretty sure I've had WILD as well. Feels like I've left my body and gone to a dream?
      5) Also pretty sure I've done MILD, I start visualizing me loping my horse through a pasture with no tack and passing through doors.

I'm not 100% on my methods, but seems to be I've possibly done all of them at some point.

Any help is welcome! Thank you!

Hello Cheysdreamers and welcome to intro class. It is very exciting to hear that you are a natural dreamer and get lots of lds already. How many lds do you approximately get per week or month? Also, what is the lenght of your lds? The more and longer lds, the more opportunities you will have to improve on dream control.

The dream guy appearing in your dreams also sounds very interesting, especially since he is not someone from your past or present. Very cool!

The classes are self-paced and we recommend starting a dream journal if you haven't already (this can be online, privately or a mix of the two) and selecting a primary induction technique or if you feel like two might be fine too. It seems to me that you may be more advanced so I am waiting for your answers, then we can develop a plan that fits your situtation best. Sweet dreams!

      Hello NyxCC!

Anytime I remember a dream its lucid. I cannot actually recall having a dream that wasn't. Even as far back as 5 years old. The only ones I'd consider not are the guy and me when I was really little and he would come sit on my bed and talk to me. Other than that I either don't remember the dream and only recall feeling from the dream or its lucid. I dream nearly every night unless lacking or having trouble sleeping so I'd average 5 nights a week.

Length.... I guess I'm not sure what the question is or how to answer? I have lds that "seem" to last days even years and some that only "seem" to be 5 minutes long. I am excited to gain more control! I've been working on the tasks of the month and I'm excited in two days I've completed two!

I do have a dream journal started online. I typically have great dream recall as I love to tell people about them so I suppose they are my dream journal prior to this site.

Induction technique will probably take awhile for me since I believe at some point I've done all of them without even knowing. (If that's possible?) I'd say the most common for me would be the DILD. I just always seem to enter right into the dream lucid. I never have a moment of "OH this is a dream" I just know. I'm working on the MILD though. (mostly to de-stress my life through it!)

My dream guy does fascinate me and I have been trying to get some "answers/thoughts" on what he could mean. Odd that he would go away for so many years and has now returned. Very curious!

Thank you so much for replying! I can't wait to further this and get total dream control and to get to that stage of dreaming quicker!

Cheysdreamer, thanks for the explanation. So you lucid dream every day? That’s so cool!

I think this will make it a lot easier then since you can do dream control tasks on a regular basis or at least whenever you feel like it. We have different dreamers here – some have never had an ld before, some are natural dreamers but with a smaller count per month, some get lots of lds, the majority try out different techniques to find out which one is best for them and maximizes their ld quantity and quality.

It’s really good that you already have lds on a daily basis, so in your case picking up a technique isn’t a top priority, but still if you are interested you can work on any of the techniques to see if they can give you even more lds. Some daily natural dreamers here have said that being lucid all the time can be a bit too much, so I will understand if you want to take things with additional techniques slowly (since you are already there).

Also, after reading your explanation, I get the impression that the question about dream length doesn’t really apply to you. We have people that become lucid but their dreams end way too quickly, so we help them out with tips to prolong the ld. But you have been doing this for quite a while, so I guess you could give us some tips too.

So, we will be focusing on dream control with you, that’s really cool. There are so many things to learn and do in lucid dreams, the only limit is our own imagination. If I have to briefly outline some of the key areas for dream control, then they would be:

      - Summoning items
      - Summoning DCs
      - Controlling DCs
      - Changing the dream scene
      - Transformation/Shape shifting
      - Super powers (telekinesis, element manipulation, super speed, strength, etc.)
      - Moving in extraordinary ways (flying, gliding, swinging, climbing, phasing, teleporting, etc.)
      - Creating persistent realms
      - Other stuff (time manipulation, accessing memories and many more)

I also read your two recent entries. Congrats on TOTM! :bravo: I especially liked the part with the answer of the guy. Also the pumpkin in the face task was hilarious.

Ok, looks like you are already very focused and ready to have some fun. Sweet dreams!

      Thank you so much NyxCC!

I wouldn't say everyday, but if I recall a dream it is lucid. There are times I've woken up only recalling a feeling but not the dream. But most nights are lucid. Also if I don't sleep or lack sleep I don't dream/have lucid dreams.

I am so excited to continue learning and growing! I am surprised to learn that I can do this and there are actually terms for it! So exciting! Always can get better and can always learn!

AH! Excited to read I have done most of the dream control listed. Needs work though. Sometimes its a bit of fight to get anywhere with some of the things.

What does Creating persistent realms mean?

Thank you again! Sweet dreams to you as well!

      Love your enthusiasm Cheysdreamer!

Creating persitent realms is about creating dreams and places that have certain characteristics of permanence. Once you create a specific scene for example, you are able to come back to it again in future dreams. Most of the time the scene shouldn't change or changes very little. In advanced phases, you can create an entire world and even make up the laws that apply there.

Hey, wait a bit! I just realized you have a that dream guy that's also appearing consistently. Maybe you can ask him if he knows something about persistent realms and how to create these.

I have been having issues lately... I went nearly two weeks without a dream that I could recall, feeling of confusion and frustration from them. Vague images left over.

Then I dreamt of my dream guy again.

I am getting to the point I am foregoing all goals until I figure out what he is. What does he mean to me?

I asked him some questions.. he can't give me answers.

Sounds like a complicated story. I understand this is important for you, so don't worry about the totms, unless you want to chill out a bit from the story, then totm might help.

      Hmmm. Why can't he answer?
