      MysticalDipshit's workbook

Well after a year and a half (although I can't believe its that long ago) I've decided to come back because I want a new hobby and I have always loved dreaming My recall is low though and I remember pretty much nothing about how this all works so I decided to start my workbook from scratch again

      Reality Checks:
      - Finger through palm
      - Memory check
      - Nose block/breathe check

      Dream Signs:
      - I dont exactly know at the minute. I found these difficult to identify before though?

      Short-Term Goals:
      - To improve dream recall
      - To achieve a lucid dream
      - To maintain control in a lucid dream rather than being aware but not controlling it

      Long-Term Goals:
      - To acheive a WILD as I have never done it before and I have time on some mornings because I am not in school anymore
      - To have a huge martial arts fight in a dream
      - To fly in a dream

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - Well I have had 8 lucids before altogether I think, and when I was dream journalling I was remembering 5 to 8 dreams a night

      Current Technique:
      - I suppose I will start with DILD Or if I have the time is it worth just focusing on WILD? I'm not sure because do you need awareness, RC's etc for WILD? Ideally it would be nice to do both to have the maximum effect lol but I just dont know where to start :/

I recalled around 3 sort of dreams. I'm not quite sure whether they were fragments of the same dream or different ones, it was hard to tell. Also I was looking through a notebook that was my old DJ and I think one of my dream signs could be locations? The majority of my dreams happen in places I have never seen or thought of, but I'm not sure how this could help me? Unless I do a RC every time I go somewhere new, like when I step into a shop, or when I get to college etc. Another dream sign could be the situation that I'm in. Often I appear in the middle of a zombie appocalypse, or in a video again but again that could link with locations and I'm not sure how it could help because I don't often come across a zombie apocalypse in real life to trigger awareness when it happens lol

Also I know naturally in the night I wake up in the middle of the night, so I want to focus on doing some WBTB and WILDs, although the other way I can tell what time it is (and therefore check if its enough time ie not 2 hours in) is via my phone, and the light might wake me up. Anyway I'll see how tonight goes and report back tomorrow

I recalled nothing last night. I did wake up after 6 hours but it was due to an alarm that I hadnt realised was on -.- So I tried to do a WBTB but didnt manage WILD. I think I wasnt aware enough, and too sleepy so I fell straight back to sleep. Then this morning I was woken by my mum and she had a conversation with me before I even thought about dreams, so yeah no recall. There was also a lack of awareness and RCs today, so I will definitely focus more on this.

Target for week beginning 24th: Improve dream recall, and increase awareness. Try to establish a more stable/regular night time routine as well.

I recalled two rather bizarre dreams last night, and I have been a lot more aware than normal so at least thats progress. I did a RC today when I was walking down one of the quite streets where I live and it was all misty and felt quite odd. I know I've had a few dreams based in that stretch of road so I just had to check XD

Last night I had the most vivid and long dream that I have had in a while, but what ruined it was that my mum shouted at me to wake me up, and then had a conversation with me so I don't recall most of the details now. My night time routine is awful as well, I haven't been able to sleep until 1am really, which I suppose doesn't help with recall. I need to wake up earlier but more naturally to preserve my recall, which should be possible if I strongly set intentions for a while. I am going to attempt a WBTB in the morning, so I will set my alarm for 5ish and see how that goes.

I've had extremely vivid dreams the past couple of nights but I have been really lazy and not written them down

My awareness and RCs have not been a regular thing either, I really need to up my game this week. I've been finding it hard to sleep which is my excuse, literally just laying for hours not doing anything. Really need to sort myself out this week. So yeah this is just a post to say I'm sticking at it but finding it a bit hard as well. Nevertheless I will suceed!

Last night was so bizarre! I really couldn't get to sleep, and it was one of those nights where you're waking up every 20 minutes, shuffling around etc, and my whole faimly was up from 4.30am which didn't help my sleep. But every time I woke up, I was half thinking about Wbtb and WILD but I couldn't stay focused as I was so sleepy.

Anyway this morning I was doing my mascara, and I paused infront of the mirror as a dream came back to me. I dont recall much of it, which I think is down to the fact that I was constantly waking throughout the night so my recall was f***ed basically. But I'm pretty sure I had a lucid dream! I'm not sure how it came about because it definitely wasnt a DILD, because I didn't suddenly become aware, it was more like I appeared in the dream already knowing it was a dream. Anyway, I immediately shouted at the person opposite me I didn't want to follow them on their crazy plans (we were stood on a giant marshmallow) and I jumped up and flew into the sky. It was at this point that the dream became more vivid and I was more aware. I flew between the clouds, and the detail of what I could see on the ground below was amazing. It was at this point that I really tried to focus on control because I could feel it slipping, and with that feeling it felt like my body was being distorted as well? It was very weird I must say. Well that's all I really remember, I must have woken up or something.

I do remember having a dream before that where I was being shown around houses that were for sale, and the guide from that dream was the same guy stood on the marshmellow, so I have a feeling it could have been a DEILD because I was telling him I wouldn't follow him (like I did around the house in the first one). So depsite my tiredness and lack of sleep from last night I do feel pretty good now

      3rd December

These WBTBs really seem to be helping! I have made it a habit to RC every time I wake up now, and I was woken up a few times this morning but I didn't have to get out of bed until 2 hours after the rest of my family so I could sleep I did attempt to WILD but I fell straight to sleep without retaining awareness. However when I woke up I did a nose plug and I could breathe, it must have been a false awakening!

So I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs, but it was really bizarre because it felt all groggy like I had actually woken up but it was a dream. I was running around my house because I remembered that you could open a door expecting it to lead somewhere (like teleporting) but it wouldn't work. I felt to dream start to wobble and fade, and I wanted to shout "stabilise!" but I thought how weird it would be if I got it wrong and I was actually awake XD I looked around and realised there were no Christmas decorations up so this must be a dream, I shouted it and rubbed my hands together to remain aware and in control. I did manage to teleport to a courtyard in a chinatown place. I was trying to find a guy, who turned out to be the actor in the fault in our stars, but as soon as I met him, my biology teacher was there giving out these weird lottery tickets. I tried to read them and understand them but in the process lost lucidity. I did have another false awakening after that dream (I wasn't lucid) where I woke up and talked to my brother, so it was nothing interesting, but then I woke up for real.

I am really impressed with my dream control over the past couple of nights though, this is the best its been ever!

I did go on to have another 2 dreams which were extremely strange. I wont explain because it will be too long, but in the beginning on the first dream I was speaking to someone in the downstairs of my house, and heard a noise upstairs, but continued on with my adventure. At the end of my second dream, I teleported back to my house and was upstairs. I could hear myself taking to a women downstairs which is what happened earlier. It was some kind of paradox where two different dreams were occuring simultaneously, very unusual!

      Thank you!

I've been struggling a bit with recall though. When I wake up in the morning, I never remember to try and remember my dreams. I will lay there half asleep knowing I had a dream and I will probably think about the dream, but not realise that what I'm thinking about IS a dream, if that makes sense. By the time I sit up and think 'oh I should try to remember what dream I had' its gone. I don't know what to do about this though :/

Maybe you are very sleepy at that time? If you can't recall a dream straight away, try running through a list of your dream signs. Did I dream about this? You will be surprised, but this quite often jogs one's memory, you can recall a random scene or a scene with one of your dream signs in it.
