      Cool Durza's Workbook

      Hi,

This seems kinda dead, but I thought I would try a workbook anyway. Basically I want to lucid dream really bad, and am hoping this will speed me on my path towards lucidity. I just started lucid dreaming about a month ago and am very passionate about it, and even created a cool Lucid Dreaming Alarm Clock to help me.

      Reality Checks:
      - Trying to breathe through nose while it is pinched shut.
      - Trying to push one hand through the other, or chop fingers off.

      Dream Signs:
      - I am in or at the log house.
      - I am with Saxon, Slade, or Dad.
      - I am on or around the trampoline.
      - I am in or nearby the suburban.
      - Chess.

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Have better sustained dream recall.
      - Have lucid dreams often.
      - Successfully do a WILD, FILD, and CILD.

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Have a lucid dream at least twice a week.
      - Remember at least three complete dreams a night.

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - Just started lucid dreaming, but always record all the detail of my dreams. Usually remember a good bit of stuff, and recently have been doing very well on recall. Have had two very low lucidity lucid dreams, and am expecting more any time!

      Current Techniques:
      - CILD
      - WILD
      - FILD
      - DILD
      - DEILD

      Dreamsigns:
I noticed that I started having more and more dreams where I have my skates on, I think its because I started skating, (inline skates/rollerblades), a lot more then I used too, and if I continue to it could become a great dreamsign.

      Chosen Technique:
      WBTB WILD
      WBTB CILD
      WBTB DEILD

(trying to do all three each night, but having my ldac wake me up after 2.2, 4.2, and 6.2 hours every night).

I suppose you mean here on the forum? That's a staff member who's here to help, whether with general forum questions or anything dream related .

And in dreams, it's a very helpful and wise DC that can teach you useful things and answers your questions. Can be a persistent character.

Okay, I see, thanks! I've got a question, when I do a WBTB WILD, I am never sure if I should get up, or just stay in bed, and immediately try it. If I get up, then I have trouble getting asleep, and if I don't, then I have trouble staying aware. Also, is it possible to have a NREM WILD? Thanks!

WBTB helps having an ld by both putting the mind and the body in the right state. For the mind, we use the time to focus it on achieving lucidity via various induction methods.

When it comes to the body, waking up and staying at least a bit awake will alter your brain chemistry so that it is more conductive to lucidity. That being said, getting out of bed and staying up a bit will be more effective. You just have to experiment with the right amount of time up so that you are still able to fall asleep afterwards.

Regarding NREM wild - you can definitely have a lucid in this state, it may be a bit less encompassing though, since there likely will be fewer visuals.

Okay, thanks! I usually don't get up at all when doing a WILD, and thus loose awareness super quick, like in 10 seconds, however, last night I tried getting up, going to the bathroom, setting my alarm, and then trying a WILD, it all took about a minute to do, but I couldn't fall asleep then. It is not like a problem of falling asleep though, but of maintaining awareness, as after about 20 minutes I realized the WILD wasn't going to work, and relapsed into a CILD, where I fell asleep in about 20 seconds. It seems that when doing a WILD, I do something that makes it so I can't fall asleep, but I can't figure out what that might be.
