      hi there,

I'm very interested in being able to dream lucidly. About a couple of years ago I think I had a lucid dream.. I definitely thought to myself 'I'm dreaming' during my dream. I haven't had the same experience since apart from becoming conscious just before waking up on a few occasions.. kind of like you waking up but your body feels totally paralyzed.

Well I'm so glad there is a community interested in developing this fascinating skill of lucid dreaming and am so looking forward to discussing it with you

      Regards
      Rick

Welcome to DV, you are welcome to discuss anything you want, also, did you choose a technique to try yet? (WILD/DILD) Just ask, and your answer will be solved! Or try to at least <.<

      Hi Rick, welcome to Dreamviews!

Like Walms already said, if you haven't already picked a technique to try, choose one, and start keeping a journal of the dreams you can remember each night. Recall is important when trying to become lucid.

You can find a list of tutorials here.

If you decide to try DILD, I have a tutorial in my signature that you can have a look at, besides the tutorials offered from the DV team itself (on the page linked).

Hope you get some awesome lucids soon! (:
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Thanks guys.. yes I'm keeping a dream journal and doing a few other things I've read on the Internet like reality checks, and reminding myself to recall my dreams just before I go to sleep so I don't forget to when I wake up. The dreams I remember at the moment seems to be the ones I'm having just before I wake up so I tend to record one a night.. but sometimes have an afternoon nap which knocks it up to two :-) I will look at your tutorial Puffin and give it a try.. I've got plenty enthusiasm but definitely need to organize myself little better for best results

      Thanks again,
      Rick
