      Excited Newbie :)

I had no idea about lucid dreaming until the other week. I was watching an episode (well re-watching, seen them all before) of Star Trek Voyager where one of the characters, Chakotay entered a lucid dream to meet some dream living aliens. I noticed the term had been quoted before in Vanilla Sky, one of my fav films so I googled it and was amazed to read all about it on Wikipedia. I also noticed a few things that I had seen in the film Inception a week before.

A girl I know had said she had done it before so I'm going to try to give it a go.

Mentioned it to my housemate who said he is sometimes concious inside his dreams, he thought it was pretty normal!

Anyway, wrote down my first few dreams I had this morning when I woke up. Didn't remember anything at first, but then it all came back to me after a minute. Don't normally remember much about my dreams so I was surprised at how much I dreamt about and how odd they were.

      Hey, welcome to DV!

I think you'll find a lot of really useful stuff in our tutorials section!

I highly suggest waiting to really have lucids until you have about 12 dreams written down and can identify your dream signs.

Also, learning about different lucid dream induction techniques is really helpful.

And a book that I highly recommend is Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge. It really helped me start having lucid dreams when I first started getting into them. It is also good to not look at screens for an hour or so before you go to bed, so it's good to have some reading material, especially dream related!

      Good luck, and welcome again!

WELCOME MOJOTONY. Well if your a beginner like I was/still am then you will need to read a tutorial about Lucid Dream more preferable a DILD(Dream Induced Lucid Dream(ing)) tutorial. Read the one by Puffin its a good one. Here is the link.

infact, you only need the belief that lucid dream is possible, you will have lucid dream sooner or later.
