I'm quite uncertain about the whole lucidity.

I understand what the whole concept is and how to go about it, but what really blows my mind is how the mind triggers realizing that it is dreaming. I can't imagine what it will even be like when I have my first lucid and to go even further, learn dream control. What might it feel like becoming lucid?

People say that they feel excitement, personally I don't feel nothing huge.
Keep practicing, be dedicate and you'll have your lucid soon.

It is pretty amazing that our mind is able to trigger a sudden awareness while dreaming itself. The human brain is like a 3 pound universe. Lucidity is one of the most amazing things I have ever experianced, it is like exploring a parallel universe or something. It is a very difficult thing to accuratley describe, you must experiance it yourself. I hope you do it soon, good luck!

It's a pretty awesome () experience. Now when I realize I'm dreaming, I really just say "yes, another lucid!" or whatever because I've had quite a few, but it's still exciting.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Oh yeah, I can attest it being an awesome experience. That excitement of realising you're dreaming can cut your experience short. So read up on dream stabilization, 'cause you never know when you'll become lucid.

My first LD, I totally wasn't expecting. It was only 5 days after taking interest, so when I tried to stabilize and I did it wrong and spun myself right outta lucidity. I did become lucid again later in the dream though.

Thanks for the replies , I'm eagerly awaiting for my first lucid. Not sure if that would be a bad thing, but I'm pretty sure I will be waking up shortly after realizing that I'm lucid, the length I will obviously be trying my hardest to increase with each one.

I can confirm that it is a very awesome experience. I feel super excited when I realize I've just become lucid.
The exact feeling is hard to describe though, for me it's a combination of positive energy, happiness and excitement.
I also immediately feel the urge to explore this world I'm in.
      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

I need to get this out. I had an exciting lucid dream today, before 7:00 AM, and I can tell you that it was amazing! The dream was so vivid and awesome knowing that it was a dream! The only sad part for that dream was having my dad wake me up before I could go further in the dream...

It's awesome, but (for me) not so awesome that I begin to freak out and leap for joy. It's a calm excitement.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

I feel like it might cause me to smile and just think to myself, "awesome." And I'm not sure if I'm the only one but, sleep feels much more enjoyable and I feel very much more rested then a week ago, I am able to keep an awareness during my day. Anyone else feel like this when remembering their dreams?
