Did I just have a WILD experience?

Hello! So last night I discovered this site and I became a member. I was just reading on some threads and I came across a WILD tutorial. I'm alittle confused as to if I actually did everything right, because I did not actually dream, I knew I fell back asleep, but I tried so hard to dream of something I woke up . So I woke up about an hour before I normally did and I didn't even open up my eyes, I sat still for about 5mins and I dosed into some incredibly different yet exciting feeling. It felt like my blood was rushing through my entire body, like REALLY rushing. I heard like a fast waterfall during this experience and I think my subconscious told myself to wake up, but I told myself this is normal. It was a loud, yet peaceful waterfall and the tingly blood rush feeling felt like something I never felt before - it was kind of a cool feeling. At this point, I was trying my hardest to dream or something (as in I tried to visualize things), but no luck. Is this a WILD experience? Did I do it right? Any tips to dream in this state?

The WILD only happens when you enter a lucid dream. Wake initiated lucid dream.
What you felt was the process of WILD, the sleep paralysis. Search on the subject and you'll see similar sensations people usually feel.

Oh man, am I in over my head. What a crazy thing it is to have found this website.

I've never heard of any of this WILD stuff. I've had sleep paralysis my whole life. It's a real bother and I've spent most of my life trying to get rid of it. It usually happens to me in the mornings after I've woken up from turning off the alarm clock then I lay back down and BAM all sorts of crazy dreams happen even though I'm not asleep and can hear things around me. I've learned various tricks to get out of it and can't believe that anybody would deliberately try to enter that state. Usually I make a humming sound and my husband shakes me awake. Otherwise I hold my breathe until I lose consciousness and then awake normally afterwards.

Learn to use it to your favor. It's a gift you have there. You can easly enter a lucid dream when in sleep paralysis.

It sounds like you were really close to entering a dream. When you pay attention to what is happening to your body as you fall asleep, you notice all sorts of weird hypnagogia. It is so cool that this happens to us every night, but we normally just ignore it. With a little practice, you should be able to turn this into some amazing lucid dreams.
