Help Me! My subconscience is screwing me over!

Well I can lucid without noticing for a long time then noticed it was called lucid dreaming, but lately I can't do it. Every dream I notice I'm dreaming and I say I'm dreaming and now I can control this dream and nothing happens, I can't fly or do shit! It just stays the same or someone shoots me in the back of the head and I just come out of my body and watch myself dead for the rest of the dream. WTF!!!!

It sounds like you just have poor dream control, lucid or not. If you were aware that you were dreaming and still couldn't stop things from happening, try taking vitamin B6 or drinking apple juice to increase dream vividness and clarity, which might help with control. Expectations are everything, so if you find yourself stuck or being attacked, expect a DC to help you or expect the [insert] to leave you alone.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

yep, expectations are everything. I used to be crap at flying, now i am really good(in my opinion), as soon as i become lucid, i expect that when i jump in the air i will fly and it works.
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

Yep, I think it is dream control. Next time just try harder and dont stress too much about it.

Yeah, it's high time I learn a thing or two about dream control myself. Nothing like a prop plane crashing into your kitchen to mess up a lucid dream. (In the dream! I'm no action hero.) Though when you have dolphins jumping out of your lawn like it's water, how do you prepare yoursel for that crap!? @_@

      Damn my crazy arse dreamscapes.

Maybe try a few really simple things to warm up and build you confidence. Look at your hands, pick up an object, or say hello to a DC. Then move up to some passive control like summoning a DC around a corner. Gradually build your control with small successes.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

Thanks everyone, what I notice too is that my dreams are super short so I notice I lucid the last minute of my dreams. I wake up every hr - 1 1/2 hr then continue the dream. Is this normal? Also I noticed that weapons become toys when I use it but are real when people use it against me :'(

REM phases are about 90minutes long....so thats actually a very good time to wake up. Most people try to train themselves to wake up after every dream, so they'll have more focus on the next one.

This is getting real frustrating, I know that I'm dreaming around the end of each dream or beginning of next dream and I tell myself that I'm dreaming and try to fly or summon things but it just won't work :/. Sometimes it happens when I ask my dad if he can give me flying powers cause he's usually the one that suppresses my abilities for some reason

Maybe pretend know you've already recieved flying powers? Just go off and do it.

Hi Hack, I just joined this forum literally minutes ago, but I've scanned the posts and now I have a question. I also have always had the ability to realize I was dreaming without knowing it was called lucid dreaming. So until someone told me very recently that I could control the dream too, I never tried. I'd realize I was dreaming but just go along with it. SO I tried lucid dreaming and was not able to control the dream and also got attacked (you got shot, I got beaten up).

So now I'm wondering if we have do undo bad habits. I mean, if for years we've been realizing we were dreaming but just going along with it, then we've developed years of having no dream control. So now we are trying to control our dreams suddenly and our brains are like- WHOA! That's different!

      What do you think?

You're right bud, I always knew i was dreaming too but now that I know it's lucid dreaming and I try to control it nothing happens and I spend the dream looking for one of my parents which randomly shows up in a random crowd or something. I use to fly randomly when I wanted to but now I have to ask a certain person in the dream, it sucks that I can't control it when I know I'm dreaming and I think really hard and even close my eyes
