Patience is a key in lucid dreaming, sometimes if you are over anxious (like me when I started), the LD I might of had leaves just as quickly as it came, or I might not have one for a couple of weeks. If it has been a month, try taking a break from it, stop recording some dreams, and don't visit this site. I know it seems counter productive, but it worked for me. I would have full blown lucid dreams randomly (three times when at school!) when I wasn't trying to. Once you start having dreams consistently try to do different methods, I know the WBTB worked wonders when first starting, but now I only have to attempt a WILD, and 80% of the time I end up in an LD. Once you have your best method, start fine tuning it, such as when to attempt it, and where to attempt it. Start fine tuning your environment. For example when I take a nap around 1:30-3:00pm I like to keep a dim light on, with my fan on. Only one cover, and lay in a certain position. All of those little details help a whole lot, at least for me.

I believe any amount of any kind of toxins can mess with the natural order of your body's cycles. Alcohol could wake you up to use the bathroom in the middle of REM (mostly happens in between states of REM). Any kind of caffeine could keep you awake, and things like that.
