lucid dream in a dream

hey guys need some help

i had a strange dream.
well i was going home when suddenly i noticed thies is a dream.But it didn't get vivid and i coulnd't control the dream.but twas like idreamed i was lucid .idreamed that i got excited and i lost lucidity but i could control it for 2 sec.everything went by itself ,like a normal dream. btw i've never become lucid and my dream recall sux xd

Hi there, this can often happen when your mind is hovering around the edge of lucidity, you're almost lucid but not quite so you are sort of aware that you are in a dream, and occasionly it just tips over into lucidity for a few seconds. The good news is it means you're getting close.

It sounds like the best thing you can do is work on your dream recall, if you don't already, start keeping a dream diary and write down anything you can remember as soon as you wake up, even if its just a few foggy thought or a vague feeling write it down. Just this act of putting a notebook out next to your bed befor eyou go to sleep with the intention of writing down your dreams will improve your recall. Do this for a few days and you'll find the more you write, the more you'll remember.

Lucidity is not black and white. There are varying degrees of awareness. As long as you were aware it was a dream, it counts as a lucid dream. Maybe it is not a satisfying lucid experience, but it is still a step in the right direction.
