Dream Sign & RC

Hello,

I have been practicing LD for few weeks now. I have had success with WILD couple of times. I'm trying DILD as well with no success at all whatsoever. I do reality check like 20 times or more in the day time. I have dream signs as well. However, I don't recognize them in my dreams. In the morning when I recall my dreams, that's when I realize that I did see some dream signs and still failed to do RC and go lucid.

Any suggestions please?

Write RC on your wrist in magic marker, it'ss make you do hundreds of them and you will most likely LD

Sounds like your problem is awareness.
Try writing out a list of things to keep your eyes peeled for in your day to day life (i.e. a black cat, a red BMW) and when you see them, do a reality check. You could also read Puffin's guide on awareness (unfortunately I don't have the link so you may have to go in search).

where have you found these dream signs?, in you dream journal? because that is the only way.
for me i found a pattern and i have induced lucidity through this.
recently my cat had kittens, they had their own patterned skin black and white.
in my dreams i dreamt that the kittens were orange, and that was a sign which woke me in my dreams saying, ''wait a minute, my kittens arnt orange''?
so thios is just an example of of a dream sign, try to find something in your life in which will relate to your dreams.

Yes, the dream signs are from my dream journal. I have signs like, running water, old college friends, doors. Whenever I see these in my waking like, I ask myself 'Am I dreaming?', 'Does anything look strange' and will do a reality check. However, when I see these in my dreams (which I can clearly recall) I don't do a RC or it doesn't occur to me to ask 'Am I dreaming'. Still trying.

Dream signs and reality checks don't do anything if you aren't aware enough to notice them. Awareness is the only thing that causes lucidity; RCs and dream signs are only used to confirm (this is a big misconception among LDers). Really question whether you could be dreaming - sure, things seem real, but in a regular dream, things seem real too.
