Question WILD Technique - Stucked in the body :(

Hey guys! I´ve been following the forum for quite a while but I finally decided to participate more actively and try to get information from the experts that are always willing to help around here.

I´ve been trying to Lucid Dream for 1,5 month and unfortunately not yet succeded.

However, the technique that I most got close, real close... is the WILD/Breathing.

On 3 attempts, I got my body completely paralysed and relaxed. After several minutes, comes the bang in my head and it seems like my mind is rotating with my body still, pressure in the chest and hard breathing. After that, my eyes start to move so fast involuntaraly, so I assume my body is sleeping.

Noises become louder and I keep myself cool cuz I know its party of the game. However, Im just stucked there...I realize Im sleeping but my mind there...I cannotleave my body. So after several minutes, I just give up because its not confortable.

I gently ask you guys, please...what should I do? I really believe I got into the final stage but I just cant leave my body.

Thanks a lot and I wish you a nice day.

      Cheers

      Sergio

      Welcome to DV

It sounds to me like you're stuck at the last stage, where you'd usually transition into a dream.
In my opinion his is the hardest part of WILD'ing, and I haven't fully figured it out yet myself.
Sometimes it's easy to transition, sometimes I can't do it at all.

Which time of the night are you trying this?
At the time you're going to bed, or are you doing some sort of WBTB?
Trying to WILD when you go to bed is a common mistake, it's really really hard to transition into a dream at that time.
It is MUCH easier after a few hours of sleep or during an afternoon nap.

I'm also wondering, are you seeing any Hypnogogic Imagery?

      Cheers

      Dreams are simple.
It's the painfully simple things the human mind cannot comprehend.
After all your mind is trained to understand the complexity of the waking world,
not the simplicity of the dream world.

Wow! Im really new to the forum and LDs, but last night was the first time i tried anything and this EXACT thing happened to me! i felt my body go limp, then about 5 ish minutes (i cant say for certain because i lost prospective of time) it felt like i was being spun around over and over and over. actually made me dizzy, but after that stage the spinning stopped and i returned to the earlier stage. any suggestions?

I'm really excited to be apart of this forum and trying this new experience

Do you feel like you're waking up a bit? Try to relax yourself and fall deeper asleep while the spinning occurs. As always, retain a small amount of consciousness. I found that doing this helps me transition into the dream.

Thank you so much for the help. I guess you have an important point. In my 2 attempts, the first I tried after 5 hours I woke up, maybe I wasnt that tired and in the 2nd I tried before going to bed at night. This could explain why I didnt dream.

What is exact time to performe Wild? I read in the tutorial that I should attempt after 6 hours of sleep, but I´d say its impossible to try just after I woke up, because I will sleep again. So I assume I should arouse myself for a while and then comeback.

In fact, I tried this today, after 6 hours, but I made a mistake by not eating after I woke up. I stood up, wrote my dream jornal and after 20 minutes came back to bed, but as I started to have sleep paralsis I felt so hungry hehe, that it messed everything.

Regarding HI, I dont kow why, but they dont work good on me. I do see a few lights and some flash movements, but nothing special, solid and long time. Funny....The WIld works best for me, when I do the 61 points relaxation method, focusing on my breath combined with Binaural Beats.

      I will give more shots.

      Best regards
      Sergio

Yes, I use my WILD with Binaural beats, and they do keep my mind awake while body fall asleep. Binaural beats are successful on this, but not succesfull in make the transition. Normally when the Binaural Beats finish, I start to spin and get more close to the transition.

There is no exact time to perform a WILD.
I've had some success after 6 hours of sleep, but some people prefer to wake up sooner, you'll have to find the best time for yourself.
How long you should stay awake during WBTB also depends on personal preference.
Personally, I don't get up at all, I attempt the WILD just minutes after waking up.
I know that a lot of people (I think the majority) are too tired in this state though, and prefer to get up and do something for up to an hour.

Don't worry about HI, everyone experiences it in a different way.
I was just asking because it has helped me transition into a dream before.

      Good luck!
