      A few questions :)

      Hi everyone --

I've been trying to have a LD for about a week and few days, so far with no success. I've been keeping a dream journal and have been able to record about 2 dreams every night. I've tried the wake-back-to-sleep method a few times, and the MILD almost every night. I've also been doing regular reality checks (looking at my hand and trying to breathe through a plugged nose), but I don't think I've remembered to do an RC in my dream yet. Hopefully I'll get one soon, I'm not worried since its not even been 2 weeks I do have some questions, though, and I would appreciate it if someone could help me Apologies if you've heard these a hundred times before!

      1) In real life, I suffer from a number of food allergies, so my diet is very limited; however, up until a few years ago I was not aware of this and ate whatever I wanted. I miss that So my question is this: Does food in LD's taste the same as food in real life? Do you retain a sense of taste in your LD's?

      2) If I wanted to meet a famous athlete in my LD, would this person look the same as he looks on TV? I expect myself to have a warped appearance, but is this also true for people in the dream? Will this person retain his personality?

      3) The whole mirror thing really creeps me out. I would like to avoid them in my dreams if possible. Is this possible? I'm afraid one might pop up on me when I'm not expecting it. I'm also slightly scared of the idea of just seeing 6 fingers on my hands or whatever happens, but I know I can't avoid that :/

      4) This is kind of an awkward question, but I'll preface by saying I'm fifteen years old and a virgin with no desire to change that status anytime soon. I don't have a desire to expeiriment with sex in my LD's either, so this question is mostly just out of curiosity - if I were to try it, would it actually feel like sex, considering I don't have any previous expeiriment to base it off of? Same goes for food I've never had - will my mind just create a 'taste'? Again, I really don't want to have dream sex - that whole idea kind of weirds me out - I'm just curious.

      5) Once you learn to lucid dream, how many lucid dreams are 'normal' in a week's time? I realize its probably different for each person, but what would you say is average? Also, will it be easier to achieve more LD's after I have had the first one?

      6) If I want to go ice skating, will it actually feel like I am ice skating? If I fall down doing so, will it actually hurt? /random

I'll probably think of some more questions later, but if anyone could help me with these I would appreciate it

      1) From what I hear (and from my own experience) you can taste/feel/smell etc. stuff in your dreams/lucid dreams. I myself had a dream where I was drinking coffee, although I don't drink that, haven't even tasted. I wasn't pleased to the taste. Later after waking up I realised that it had tasted like tea.

      2) I'd say this can differ. But I would say that it would be what you expect. If you expect the person to be like he or she is, then she/he should be himself/herself.

      3) Mirrors aren't "gateways to hell" or anything in dreams. If you think that you are going to look deformed and stuff in mirror, it happens. Expectations play a big part. You shouldn't be scared of something like this though, for it is only a dream, and nothing can harm you. But if you still want to avoid them, I'd say you should just not think about the whole thing.

      4) This I don't know. This has been pondered in another thread somewhere in the site, sometime, but I don't think they came up with an answer. As for taste... well, I would say your mind picks up a taste that is close or reminds of the current food/drink you eat/drink. Like in my dream, when I drank coffee, it tasted like tea. I haven't tasted coffee, but I have tried tea. But I am not sure of this.

      5) It is definitely easier to get more lucids once you crack the first one. And average... well, no idea, sorry.

      6) It should feel like ice skating, and falling down, well... if you expect it to hurt...

Good luck with your lucid dreaming!
