Alright, I am supposed to RC a lot to see if I"m dreaming. Recently, I have been doing that quite often, but when I RC in the real world, I get a different outcome. Usually, I will try to hold my nose in a dream and attempt to breathe. It can still breathe. For some reason, this check does not make me lucid. Why is this? |

Some reality checks dont work for everyone or some just work better. I suggest trying different ones or multiple checks at once. Sometimes I think the reason RCs worked for me was in my dream I would say to myself "this is wierd I must be dreaming" and then the RC would confirm it, instead of randomly doing a RC to make me lucid. |

You are doing them to get them overwith, that's why it doesn't work for you. You have to question reality! Observe your surroundings and ask yourself how you got to where you are etc. |

Lucid Goals:
Fly [X] - Nuke something with a Falcon Punch [ ] - Stay lucid for longer than 20 minutes [X] - Lucid Sex [X] - Step through a Stargate and enter a new world [ ] - Save a crashing airliner [ ] - Travel in time with the DeLorean [ ] - Go to Narnia [ ] - Go to Middle-earth [ ] - Pokémon Battle [ ]
I read that you have to question reality deeper than that. I've not been lucid yet, but recently I've started looking at my hands and see the two letters on each hand. Then I look and itemize the contents of the room. I read that you have to ask "Am I dreaming?" And feel out your surroundings to see if they seem normal. I spend 10-20 seconds looking around. Then I ask again. I do the the nose check. So far, the answer is "No, I am awake." >.< I'm hoping all the reading I'm doing will help my dream recall and eventually lucidity. |
