      Cool Is there a dream "MOD"

      My fisrt post. Hi.
      Im so happy. It is the second day I tryed and I had a WILD 3 times in a row(I keep on waking up) .

      Anyway my question is;
      Is there a sort of dream MOD/administrator? Like a skilled dreamer who keeps control?

      The reason I ask is because I was flying the all of a sudden I got the sharp pain going down my spine and lost control of my body. Then I was slowly floted back down to the ground. I tryed agen and the same thing happend. Im so sure it was someone stoping me.

      After I started talking to a girl and forgot I was dreaming.

      Also even know I know im dreaming I still act diffrently to how I would normaly. Is this just practice and experience?

      Maybe your subconscious? Or maybe you have nocturnal back pain.

      It could be your subconscious or it could be physical pain that transfers to the dream. It could also be some sort of fear, such as fear of flying or fear of heights or similar.

      There really is no such thing as a dream MOD (except maybe in shared dreams). In normal LDs you are all powerful.

      Welcome to DreamViews! I am a Dream Guide (staff member here on the site) if that is what you mean . There are several of us around these forums that help newcomers and the community in general, with lucid dreaming. Feel free to post questions like this any time on the forum. If you prefer, you can also PM us any time and we will be glad to help. There is a staff list under "Quick Links" and then "Site Leaders" if you want to see a full list of staff members. It is located near the top of your screen under the primary navigation bar. You can also just look for the stars under the member's name. The 3 green stars are your Dream Guides. 4+ blue or red stars are your Moderators and Administrators respectively. Now to your questions...

      There could be various reasons that the sharp pain occurred (could have actually happened to your real body during sleep, etc). Most likely the reason it happened the second time was because you were thinking about/expecting it or fearing it would happen again. This can often cause things to happen. Don't worry about it though. These things happen every now and then, but just push it aside and you shouldn't have a problem with it again. You say you act differently...hmm. Well, in a world where you are all powerful, there are no rules/limitations and the possibilities are endless...it is completely normal to act differently (simply because you can). There are no consequences of note, so you are truly free to do whatever you wish. This sort of freedom would/will cause anyone to act differently. Don't worry too much about this, just because you do something in a LD that you normally wouldn't do...doesn't mean you are changing/or are "someone else" on the inside. It simply means you are taking advantage of the freedom and endless possibilities. With practice and experience, you will get to understand LDing better and improve on all your dreaming skills. Just keep working at it and stay confident. Once you get in the dream, know that this is YOUR world to do as you wish. Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask !
