      Junior Dreamers?

I was wondering how old most of you guys were when you could have lucid dreams? I'm 13, so I was hoping you weren't all 20 years old when you started, and won't take me a few years to learn.

I'm 14 and had my first Ld 2 weeks ago and it took hardly any time or effort.
Alot of people on DV found out about LDing as kids so all in all age doesnt affect lucid dreaming, though to get good its take effort and concentration and commitment which us kids ain't great at .

Hope you have one soon! Hopefully your'll have one v. soon!

I'm not sure how many teens are on the forum, but there's a good few. I'm 15 and had my first lucid (after attempting, when I was younger doesn't count) when I was 14 because that's when I found out about it.

People can learn to lucid dream at any age as long as they understand it.

MILD works best for me when it's done during a WBTB.

Well I first brought my dream recall up to scratch and now remember at least a dream a night, which is cool . I RC whenever I can and ask if i am dreaming. Keeping a DJ is essential because i think it tells your brain that you want to dream and keeps you motivated. I've had a bit of trouble at school with dreams because of the way in which i am woken up.... (i go to boarding school). I think you should just keep at it and you will defo get a LD sometime soon. btw, I read you DJ, its was pretty cool =).

You should check out MILD and DILD to get ya started. Thats what i'm trying.

Go for it when you're young and your minds aren't programmed and limited to certain ways of thinking! I started having lucids when I was probably around 8-9. I knew what they were, but nothing about them. I did know I had control and I used to play around a bit in the end, but I started losing my ability to LD when I got older. Now I'm 23 and I wish I had continued on with my adventures when I was your age.

Didn't think a DJ was THAT important. I'll have to keep working on that...

I'll try those two, I don't think I have yet. right after I get my dream memory up to speed.

Nah, he can still LD, but not in the same rate.
It is good to start young though, so good luck. I started when I was 5, but didn't get results until I was your age. But yeah, if you want them daily, it can take a few years <.<

I'm 13 I just found out about lucid dreams last year. I have read that it is easier to LD when you are younger because you have more of an imagination or something like that.

My little brother can have LD's without effort and he's 8.
Current status: Practicing my WILD method.

Goodness, I feel like an oldie! I'm 18. I've known about lucid dreaming for a few years now. A few days ago, I started a dream journal. Currently I have terrible recall.

I read it gets harder to LD as one gets older. Also that REM is entered later as you get older. Although practice and prolonging methods should be able to keep you LDreaming.

You're so lucky to find out about lucid dreaming so early. I wish I'd learn about it when I was younger - for now I could have already been a pro

Don't worry people. I used to have quite a few DILD's naturally in my early teens, but not as many as I have now though. I average 7-8 a month atm, and with practice and dedication you can go as far as you allow yourself to go. Just because you get older, doesn't mean you can't advance in lucid dreaming. Just aslong as you're open to posibilities and keep your imagination alive. Last year I had 46 LD's, this year I aim for 70+. But at this rate it seems I'll reach almost 100. All from practice. You can do it!

I'm 17. Can't remember when's the 1st time I had these kindda lucid dreams. But..I lucid EVERY night. And its been a long LONG time since (at least 4-5yrs), Not that I wanted to. I lucid without effort. Its tiring. Taking up my sleep, hammering me wth questions and situations about my life, whether i liked it or not. Not even 1 night without it. Haizzz..hoping to learn to control when and when not to lucid soon. Happy to found this site, just when I thought that I'm alone having these lucidsS.
