      Dreaming about dreaming?

Last night I had a dream in which I entered a room which I knew I had been in before. I told that to a person who was with me and then I said that it felt much more real in this dream. Then we had a convo about how weird it is to dream about the exact same place two times...

So, I told someone in my dream that I was in a dream without becomming lucid. I have had several dreams like this lately and it is starting to get annoying. Any tips?

Just work on your awareness. Do reality checks during the day. Look around and question reality.

Maybe start reality checking whenever you come across the topic of lucid dreams in real life, hopefully it'll then carry across to your dreams!

The logic center in your brain is off when you sleep. During the day, I pretend I might have latent narcolepsy. Did I pass out back there and didn't notice? It's entirely possible.

Haha, couldn't help but chuckle at this because I know exactly what that is like. At least you are doing well in that you are acknowledging that you are dreaming. You just need to learn to increase your awareness as others have mentioned. Also, try doing reality checks whenever any form of dreaming is brought up in real life. This way next time when you say something about dreaming, you should do a reality check in the dream and be good to go.

Also, just remember that these things just happen occasionally, the best way to conquer them is to learn to recognize the pattern.

Thank you all for your responses Yes, I guess I will have to work awareness and reality checks. As it is now I am horrible at performing reality checks in real life since I often have too much to think about. I will keep working on it and I will hopefully stop missing out on becoming lucid like this.

Hmm? Oh yeah, that's right. I'm awake... for now...
