Hi, I'm new...Here's my Amazing Dream :)

Hi, my name is Lenny and pretty new to lucid dreaming..havent had any yet my interest in lucid dreaming was sparked by some amazingly vivid dreams (two of which i will share with you in a moment) and the movie inception. Now, the thing about inception is, when i watched the movie,the scene that really caught my attention was the one where the mirror image of the city in their dream basically falls on the real city(any of you remember that?) I told my friend that i WAS going to have the same dream about the 'mirror city' that night. so before i went to sleep, i tried only to think about that...to my surprise,i had the dream! First thing i did when i woke up was phone my buddy to tell him about my awesome dream The other dream i had,and this is sort of my inspiration for learning to lucid dream,was a really clear dream in which i remember every single detail. It started off with me rowing down the Amazon river in a canoe carved out of wood. everything was so peaceful. As i slowly row down, i see all these different tribes and villages all along the sides of the river. All of them had huts built with twigs and mud with the native children running around and playing and the older people painting tribal patterns on their faces. All of a sudden, i see a wave forming behind me which is growing faster and faster untill it was about 12-14foot big. The funny thing was,i didn't panic at all. instead I threw my paddle into the water,stood up on my canoe and it turned into a surf board! so there i was,surfing a 14foot monster wave in the middle of the amazon when i saw an end to the river up ahead with a massive waterfall. Again, i didn't panic. When i reached the waterfall,i jumped off the board,head first into the unknown as if i were jumping into the safety of a swimming pool. The fall felt as if it was going on forever,like i was almost flying.. Never have i felt so free in my life! Then i saw a pool under me. As i fell into the pool,i looked up...it was breath taking..All around me were fish and creatures of all colours, the sun forming diamonds on the ripples of the surface of the water. I swam up slowly,enjoying every moment of i was a part of this world.. When i reached the surface,i woke up,ecstatic. The feel of that dream went on for a week or more...That's why i want to learn to lucid dream,to have more of these experiences. I look forward to sharing more of my dreams with you guys and to read about and learn from yours..

Wow that really does sound like an awesome dream. I kind of want to add the Amazon River to my places to visit in my dreams now. I suggest starting a dream journal so you can share more dreams with us and boost dream recall. Welcome to Dream Views. I hope you can learn lucid dreaming quickly.

Well dang... I have a new goal now. Haha. What an amazing and inspiring dream, I wish you the best of luck with learning how to become lucid! Always remember to be patient, as it takes time to perfect like any other skill and lots of practice (but of course, I am sure practicing will NEVER be a hassle. ) Anyway, welcome to the forums we are always glad to see new faces around here! You might like to check out the dream-journal section on here for help recording your dreams (and perhaps further inspiration, though it looks like you are plenty inspired as it is). There is also a nice application (for windows) somewhere on these forums that makes recording dreams really easy and fun, then you can just submit it the forums through the app. If you ever have questions, feel free to ask as we will be glad to help you out! I don't think you can comprehend how jealous I am of that dream, circles. I understand the feel of having an awesome dream that you just glow from for a while, I've got it written in my dream journal. But it was lucid. Yours was just a vivid one, really cool. Welcome to DV my friend.

That dream reminds me of the vivid dream where I was a sniper... for quite some time after, I had a feeling of extreme excitement. Man but a 14-foot wave, that is awe-inspiring! Boy would I have loved to be there too.
