maybe you should perform an RC whenever you hear the word Lucid. Also I read that if you expose yourself to a lot of readings and information on lucid dreaming then your conscience will be more open to the idea of lucid dreaming. |

every time DC's tell me about LD i don't RC although i do it throughout the day and i have enhanced my awareness a bit (like from 5% to 40%) |

How often does this happen? With time you'll get used to checking reality slightly more effectively, and you won't get so frustrated. You could use the MILD technique before going to bed to try and prevent this happening to you again. |

"No... my avatar isn't changing. You're changing."
I've been trying WILD for a couple of days now without much of a success... well... yesterday night I dreamt I was reading a forum (not this one, another forum I'm actually part of) and there was a discussion on LD. I was talking about my issues and another user answered something like "WILD should not be your first attempt. You should DILD first then WILD". Guess what?... I missed it. |
|
Oh no! That is just unfortunate. Either that, or you have a deep-rooted fear of lucid dreaming so you're preventing yourself from becoming lucid. I'm going to go with the first one |

Tell me about it! It's getting so frustrating But I understand that I've been trying this for not-so-long so I figure I should just be patient. WILD is definitively not doing it for me as it only forces me to stay awake... for some reason I cannot do it right... so I'll just lay down and wait for a signal. My dream recall has improved incredibly, so at least I got that. I guess my DJ will be fulll of entries in no time. |

A good chunk of lucid dreams happen without any sort of "trigger" whatsoever; it's more about awareness than anything else. For instance, I always become lucid when I'm just walking around my house, running around, or talking to someone. I've only become lucid once from someone telling me that I was dreaming. When I had woken up from that dream, I realized that I had already been fairly aware, but to get that lucid dream I just required a bit of a push from a DC. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
