Exclamation Need good begginers advice, the tuts seem to far in with not enough info

hi i need some help but i never have dreams (rarely) it just seems like i fade away then wake up, nothing in between but this morning was slightly different but i'm not sure if it would have helped, because when i woke up i didn't remember any dreams, but as i sat there this one image floated into my mind of a large pillar with people cheering at the sides, i have to picture of where i was standing i just need to know if that sounds right, or if i should dismiss it

i attempted WILD last night and i was dead still for half the hour, i was a little tingly and my nose was itchy but no luck with it.
I was surely relaxed and i'm going to do my 11/2 follow up at 8:00 because they say the best time for LDs is 11/2 hours after you wake up.
Please give some info on the stuff above and some other goo begginer tips

-Keep a dream journal, this will increase your dream recall greatly
-Attempt WILDs after 4 - 6 hours of sleep for best results as WILDing before sleep is very hard and people say almost immposible
-Do reality checks, "you become aware that you might be in a dream so you remember to perform a reality check.."
-Practice awareness so that you ll be more aware in your dreams
At the fork in the road I turned left while everyone else turned right..

      To notice various things:

      1. Your surroundings to take conciousness in what place you are, to know, to take knowledge, why are you here and what are you doing and why.
      2. Notice things about yourself if you're feeling well who are you etc.
      3. To know what day it is today, what time it is.

People enter a state of automatic action and zombieness when you aren't aware.
      Are you dreaming?

You have dreams every night just tell yourself to remember them and if you have very bad recall don't get up until you remember at least one dream, or realize you cant remember 5 mins later. Dream journals help, it further puts it into your mind that you wanna remember. I started remembering my dreams on day 1 of the dream journal and it got better until i started remembering 3 or 4 dream a night sometimes 5. As for the WILD don't focus on don't move. You need to relax if you get itchy scratch the itch, if you keep worrying about not itching and scratching and staying still for the life of you it wont work well. IF you just relax and think lucid dreaming repeatedly the not moving will go from "trying to not move" to not moving being natural. Do this and you might be suprised how quickly you enter a dream. Often in a WILD it is best to convey your intentions in as few words as possible instead of "when I am dreaming ill know that i am dreaming." you should think "lucid dreaming". IF you use number one you will get bored and it will be harder. Good luck and remember try to relax during WILD and it will get easier.
Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.

      1. start with a dream journal and write your dreams
you're going to have a hard time with lucid dreaming if you don't remember them
      2. take it slow, do not start trying WILDs, they are difficult for most, let alone a beginner
      3. start doing reality checks, do it when random things occur..really question if you're dreaming or not
      4. try to be aware as long as possible
      5. have a positive outlook, don't get frustrated
      6. have patience
      7. just start saying mantras before bed, start out small, don't get too ahead of yourself

these are just some guide lines ^^"
if you have any questions, you can PM me, or any other dreamguide or member
      best of luck
