I joined this site last night before going to bed after reading all the info from the Home page and I think one of the things stuck with me about making something or someone in the dream do something you want to do to get control of the dream in a sort of indirect way. Well, I was dreaming this morning and I remember I had a thought which I'm not sure was being aware of the dream, but that nonetheless made me want to experience something that I couldn't normally do, like flying. I guess my brain decided I didn't have the resources to do such thing and instead tried a cheaper version: freefalling from the sky. And suddenly, Cesar Milan, the dogwhisperer (don't ask me why) says something like 'Do you want to know how to save your life if you're a dog falling from a plane?', and as he said that I started falling from a plane.

Would this be considered lucid dreaming?

Also, on a separate note, often times when I sleep well into the morning, around 11 or 12 or even more, having previously awoken and "decided" to sleep for a few more hours, even after looking at the clock and realizing I've slept more than enough already, I feel incredibly sleepy, even more than when I woke up 2 or 3 hours earlier. I call this sticky sleep, because it feels like it's sticking all over my body pinning me to the bed and shutting my eyes, which is very different from the pleasant sensation of being sleepy after being tired. Is this related to sleep stages?
