Hello, I am new here, and I have a few questions.

I recently found out about lucid dreaming, and I think it is an extremely interesting concept. I started a dream journal to help my recall of dreams, and it seems to be working because I can now remember up to three dreams a night. A question I have though, is if it is possible to dream that you are having a lucid dream. This sounds confusing, but i have had a couple of dreams in which there was no sudden realization that I was dreaming, I simply seemed to know from the begining of the dream that I was dreaming. I also didn't have control of my actions, and I wasn't using any techniques to induce a lucid dream yet. Maybe I am just being stupid, or maybe I really did have a lucid dream and am simply denying mysef the credit. I jut want to know if anyone else has had this experience.

Well, it is very possible to dream about having a lucid dream. It would be nearly impossible for someone besides the dreamer themselves to determine this. Keep in mind that you can be lucid without control and also have control without being lucid. All it takes for a dream to be considered a lucid dream is realizing that you are dreaming from within the dream itself. You don't need to have followed a specific or have a certain level of control. Knowing you are dreaming is all it takes.

Edit: Welcome to DreamViews, btw !!!!

It's up to you to decide which Lucid Dreams count if you want to keep track on your progress. It's just like KingYoshi said. If you have a goal set up, and focus on achieving that goal, you'll have an easier time next time you get Lucid. It can help you spark your consciousness back to life 100% and you'll be able to look around and do whatever you feel like

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask here or in a PM. Good luck!

I've had these when I was very young. I didn't have control either, but I did things that confirmed it wasn't the "real world". Usually very short. No real scenes, but feelings of flying and directing the gravity of earth in grassy places. I hope this helps.
