      Dream recall sucks

My dream recall sucks. I try to dream journal but there is nothing to journal about. At best, I can only sometimes remember one action or short scene of my dream. I see people on this website talking about dream adventures and action and stuff, but if that happens for me, then I don't remember it. Am I just dull? I might have been lucid last night for all I know, but I can't remember a damn thing. It would be amazing to have a dream as vivid as real life, but if I'm having them I can't remember it. What can I do? Even the alarm thing hasn't really worked for me. When I can remember my dreams, its when I wake up naturally in the morning. Any thoughts?

Write down everything! Even if you can't recall any of the dream, just write down your thoughts. WBTB definitely helps as well. Maybe try a lucid AID such as B6?

If you smoke weed, quit. Recall and consistent toking don't really mix. The occasional smoke is fine, but otherwise you pretty much have to quit. This only applies to you, of course, if you even smoke weed. If not, disregard this post, lol.

I've had trouble trying to do WBTB. I can't seem to fall asleep without being unconscious. I find that I need to give my mind something to think about, and I can't sleep when I'm thinking, so I just end up waiting around for 15minutes, then saying "screw it" and just relaxing and going to sleep.

You should try to let your mind clear, but stay conscious at the same time. It may help to try clearing your mind with meditation, and you will get a feel for being conscious but having a clear mind at the same time. However, you shouldn't completely clear your mind while trying to get to sleep, but you should focus on lucid dreaming and wanting to have a WILD. Remember not to strain yourself thinking about it; let your body and mind relax while still keeping it in your mind.

I also used to have trouble recalling dreams, even if i get a full nights rest. The trick is to wake up after about 5 or 6 hours of sleep.

I go to sleep at around 10 pm, wake up at 6 to walk the dog. Eat something(my dreams are always more vivid after eating). Then stay up for an hour or so reading. Do not go on the computer or watch tv, that usually wakes me up to much. Reading keeps my mind awake while relaxing me at the same time. Go back to sleep for a few hours. Thats how you will have the best dream recall, in my opinion.

Try not to get too stressed out about recalling your dreams in the morning. This might cause them to fade from your memory faster. Relax and take your time. Write down anything as Caretaker said. Anything is better then nothing
