      The Power Of Mantras?

Hey guys, another post by your friendly community newbie, DreamTravels!

So today I would love some replies about what mantras work best for dream recall/attaining lucidity, why they work, and maybe some cool ones that people have thought up/experimented with themselves! I'll go first by saying that i used the mantra "remember only 2 dreams tonight" (thou i usually remember 4+) and it worked! I'm not sure why i tested it, i guess just to see if mantras really are that powerful!

Like always, thanks in advance! i hope everyone can benefit from this post!

It's more about the mindset than anything else, but the choice of wording definitely has an impact. I use the classic "I will have a lucid dream tonight" and have had a few from it so far... Hoping to have more in the future.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

yeah it has much to do with the intention and feeling than the words themselves.
Try to think in present tense when saying mantras too
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

Lucid Avenger wrote a great wiki article on how to create and say a mantra that is effective here

      Personally I've had success with
      "I will lucid dream tonight"
"I am dreaming" (while trying to WILD)

and last night I tried out two new ones and had 3 LD's in a row and a FA I didn't pick up on!
"I am aware when I am dreaming"
"I attract dreams that help me achieve my goal of lucid dreaming"

Finding a mantra that works for you is definitely worth it, I attribute most of my lucids (if not all) to mantras
