I think that in those dreams I was never actually lucid at all. I believe I was simply having a non-lucid dream where the plot of the dream was "you are dreaming that you are having a lucid dream about flying", or whatever... If that makes sense?
Personally, I often get that feeling of yours too. The feeling of "In an endless list of possibilities, why did I do this instead of doing that?!" if you get my point. But the thing here is, you were lucid. It's natural to have LDs like that of yours. We all know that most LDs tend to last for only a short amount of period that's why we act and decide so fast in LDs that we're like in a "already-staged/pre-planned dream".

Yes, dreams sometimes fades off into white, etc. Some people experience it including me.
