Post hello to all fellow dreamers...

just an intro and hello from me to all members on dreamviews.
Basically I heard about dreamviews quite some time ago but never got around to signing up.
I already had a few (short) lucid dreams over the last years but I more than once became too lazy to make lucid dreaming a priority. About two months ago I decided that I should really make an effort in learning and refining lucid dreaming.
What can I say - not much progress but I decided that I want this perhaps even need this exploration of my inner world.

So last night I read quite a few posts here mainly by billybob (coincidence I found his posts first?). And after reading his absolutely marvellous "How to Lucid Dream" I had a (half) lucid dream this morning after trying on and off for the last four years (unsuccessfully I might add).
Nothing too special in this dream but I woke up and my first thought was: "now that was fairly easy" (using the FILD technique).

I'm looking forward to the nights to come and the posts and community on dreamviews. I think I'm back

      all the best to you
      Jonah

      Welcome!
You've probably been here longer than me, but I signed up first, so trolol lol
Good on you that you've decided to stick around, and I wish you all the success in the world pertaining to lucid dreaming!

      Welcome YonahYP!

You are on a right path. I had my first LD after all day of reading posts and tutorial on this site. If you haven't done it yet, read some tuts in Wiki, choose a method that sounds good for you, and enjoy!

Welcome to DV Jonah. I remember BillyBob's posts were some of the first I read when I came to DV as well. He was a really good member and knew his stuff. My advice to you is pick one technique, like FILD, and work on it for at least 2 weeks before switching to another technique. Beginners tend to jump from technique to technique quite frequently. I believe it's better to focus on one technique at a time. If you don't see results with it after 2-4 weeks then maybe it's time to switch things up.

      Good luck
