Hi Everyone, just joined, have a question

      Hi,
I just joined Dream Views and can't wait to read about others experiences.

I have been Lucid dreaming for a couple of years now. I have noticed that in my dreams when I get to the point of choosing to wake up, sometimes it appears that I am awake, everything around me looks like it should when I am awake, but then I realize that I am still dreaming. I have to make an extra effort to actually wake up. Has anyone else had this experience?

You say you try to wake up while being lucid and the dream just changes to a false awaking. Why do you try to wake up? Lucid dreaming is so awesome!

That is called a false awakening. Why don't you stay in the dream?

I am usually taking a quick nap in my truck (Truck driver) and obviously can't sleep to long.

      Hey,
Naps can be great for lucid dreams, as they are usually composed of REM sleep.
Why not try to do a MILD/WILD in your naps.

I will definitely try other methods. The last LD I had, I was able to float and go through the roof of my truck. I was hoping it was a OBE, but it wasn't.
