Cool Allow Me To 'Induce' Myself

      Playon words with introduce

My name is Austin for those who wish to know

Anyways, a long time ago I had heard of this thing called lucid dreaming. I'm sure you all have heard of it Well, i saw a thread on some other forums and it got me interested enough that I tried it. It only lasted me about a day. Recently, around last week, 2 different people have asked me if I ever heard about it, and that got me interested in it again. So my friend and I were talking about it and I decided to look up some videos about it because another friend of mine does a combo of wb2b and wild and I heard about the sleep paralysis after some research and just wanted to know some more. So I stumbled across a link on a youtube video which took me here. After a few days lurking the forums, I have decided that I would like to learn to lucid dream. Patience is not something I am great with, however, I will try my best to keep it going and learn because of how cool this sounds. I have recently (2days ago) started a dream journal to try and remember my dreams. I am interested in the WILD mostly, with a little bit of wb2b lucid dreaming, and as soon as I can, I plan on getting adopted. I am open to other techniques and would be interested to hear your opinions on them. I understand wild is one of the more difficult ones to master, however, this seems like I can have a lucid dream when I want, and the other methods seem to be more random.

This was my massive intro, so post up

Hey Austin, welcome to Dream Views.

I followed a source to find my way here too, maybe we saw the same video? Your friend is a lucid dreamer, that's helpful to you I suppose. I've never heard the term spoken It seems to be completely unknown.
When I used to WBTB all the time, it got me to realise that I was dreaming for the first time, so it seems to be a good method. The idea of WILD seems kind of freaky though... in my opinion.

      Nice 'induction'?

      To-do: [ ] Learn dream control, [ ] sustain a LD, [ ] improve clarity.

A great perturbation in nature, to receive at once the benefit of sleep, and do the effects of watching.

Thanks for posting aurata. Wild does seem a bit scary, but I've taken interest to it. You can control when you ld better i feel. The hallucination will be scary but if I get past it that will be worth it. I started to form a dream journal 3 days ago and have made fairly good progress. I am starting to remember my dreams, but not when I wake up. When I go to brush my teeth I remember some things about it. I believe that I had a false awakening yesterday in which I woke up and plugged my nose, but I could not breathe. I tried again and could breathe buy barely, probably because I didnt fully clog my nose. Normally I do not even use that rc but I could not even control it, I just did it. I wished I did a different one so I could have had my first lucid dream but i didn't. I may have missed a few things cause I had to repost, but that was what I remember.

Welcome and good look with it, I see no flaws in your technique, just get some experience behind you and you will do fine!

Hi, Austin, my name is Melanie and I just joined this forum. I noticed your post because of your name, and I live in Austin, Texas.

Lucid Dreaming is amazing, and if you can manage it you will forever want it to happen all the time. In my first LD many years ago I was underwater and suddenly found I could breathe with no trouble, even though my thoughts told me I shouldn't be able to. I told myself it was okay because I was dreaming. At that moment I felt ecstatic, and really enjoyed my underwater world.

I know I'm new to this forum and this is only my third post but I join in welcoming you to this board. I have been an admin on other forums in the past and it is only good manners to make all new people feel welcome.

Thanks melanie. I hope to one day have a lucid dream. Tonight, if I can figure out how to get my phone alarm to work (Cause i need like 5 alarms to go off) will be the first time I attempt to lucid dream.

      Hopefully it goes well.
