Couple of things can help with recall.
1. Write in your dream journal, even if all you can remember is just a single word or feeling. If you don't remember anything at all, write that in your DJ and also write some kind of affirmation - like 'I remember my dreams', 'I'm getting better at it every day', 'I like my dreams'. This will tell your mind, that dreaming and remembering your dreams is important to you and will help you achieve it. When you remember something, say thanks to your mind for your dream and for remembering it.
2. You can say these affirmations/mantra also when you falling asleep - in that state between awake and asleep our minds are very receptive to suggestions. You can also say 'I wake up after each dream and I remember it'. This will help you wake up after your dream is over, couple of times at night. We already wake up after REM (dreaming) cycle is over, just don't always realize it. It also helps if you drink some water before bed and each time you wake up - it will help you wake up naturally.
