Welcome to DV First, you have to get rid of your mental block, which I know it's easier said than done. I suggest read many dream journals and posts like 'my first ld' to get you excited and believing. Because without that, there is no lucid dreaming. You have to know and you have to proclaim your intent to have a lucid dream. Here is a post about intent.

You can check out the DV Wiki and pick a technique. But in general, MILD for dreams called DILDs is easier to start with. Actually it's very simple, but it will only work, if you believe in yourself. To MILD technique, I would add some Puffin's DILD Guide - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views. Dream journal is important and you should start wrting in it, even if you remember your dreams without any problems. It will let your mind know, that dreaming is important to you.

Pick a small task you want to do in your first lucid. Make it something simple. Read some posts like 1000 things to do in a lucid to get an inspiration. Think about that task during day also.
