      Hi.

      I'm Leo.

I learned about lucid dreaming a few months ago and have been making attempts at it since, although admittedly not much effort was put in. I've only had once so far, and that was a while back when I was sleeping on the couch. Of course it happened when I wasn't actually trying, and it ended a few moments after I realized I was dreaming, as most seem to do.

I joined this site in the hopes to better understand how to lucid dream more efficiently, and maybe I'll meet some interesting people along the way.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

To learn about different techniques and how to practice them best place would be this Beginners guide to lucid dreaming. Lots of great articles are also in DV Wiki - from the top nav bar. Read some of them and please post your questions. Happy dreams

Hello Leo, welcome to DV! Sometimes breaks are the best thing for lucid dreaming, so I'm glad your break helped you have your first LD! It should be a little easier from now on to have more, but as you realize, a lot of persistence is still needed. What have you been doing so far to induce a lucid dream?

My first LD, I also woke up very quickly. Even if you know to keep calm, it's a really weird feeling initially. How did you realize you were dreaming? How did your first LD feel for you?

We have an intro to lucid dreaming class running currently. The lessons provide the basic information you need, and then the workbooks and chat sessions give you more one-on-one guidance/advice/encouragement from the instructor and apprentices. There's are a couple of other really good classes, feel free to look into the DV Academy courses and read the lessons.

What have you tried in the past to become lucid?
