Hello everyone, I'm Jarrod. I just found this site on a whim. I remember about 80% of all dreams I have. I think LOL. |

Welcome to Dream Views! The fact that you can awake from nightmares is a great sign for getting lucid. |
|
Thanks all, and Burke, you mention this wake induced lucid dreaming-going directly from a waking state to a dream. |
|
Possibly, though WILDs normally take longer and have noticeable steps in them such as sleep paralysis (doesn't always happen but often) and hypnagogic hallucinations (again, not always but often). Also for it to be a WILD you have to be lucid in the dream, otherwise you're just falling asleep. You may fall asleep quickly which could mean quickly slipping into REM (the stage of sleep during which most dreams occur) and have a dream, then wake up directly afterwards, but it's not a WILD unless you know you're dreaming and have no lapses in consciousness. |

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.”
It sounds like you have some amazing dreams. I look forward to hearing more about them. Feel free to start an online dream journal, if you like. |

Most of the time I am dreaming I know I am dreaming. As for sleep paralysis, this is something I think I have encountered. |

Do you think you get enough sleep? Normally, sleep deprivation will cause us to go directly into a dream. Some people take advantage of this, and alter their sleep patterns to be constantly taking short naps. You should definitely read through some WILD guides. It sounds like you are already experiencing WILD. |

I have been told I do not get enough sleep but I can only sleep 6 hours tops so during the day a nice 20 minute nap makes me feel so alive again. |
