Hi everyone!

I am very excited to join your community! I found out about lucid dreaming about a week ago and I've thought about nothing else since then!

I started recording my dreams immediately, and it went surprisingly well, with an average of 3 dreams per night. It got serious last night, I convinced myself I wanted to dream about a person before going to bed (a childhood friend I haven't seen in a while) and I actually saw him in the dream! This is all really exciting, I can't wait to have my first lucid dream!

I've read about ADA and I figure it would be a good place to start, combined with multiple RCs of course. I'm too shy to write a public dream journal yet, but I will as soon as it gets interesting!
If anyone has advice for a very motivated beginner, I'd be glad to hear it!!

Meow right back at you! Welcome to dream views, im sure it won't be to long before u gonna have your first lucid dream. Seems to me like ur very motivated! And that helps a lot.

Actually, MindGames messed something with the site, so now most people have pink font o.o You are not here since a week yet, that's why it isn't affecting you.

Oh and welcome ^^ You seem to have good motivation, which helps a lot

Indeed. Also, no need to be shy about posting your dreams. You can freely write whatever you want, you don't need to censore your DJ entries.
Of course you are not forced to write everything, if you don't want to, the choice is yours

All i say is that there is no need to worry.

This site is more lighthearted than most, which is a nice thing

Did you guys manage to get any of your friends to practice for lucid dreaming with you at the beginning? Every time I talk about it, people don't believe me or think of it as voodoo bullshit, which is kind of frustrating!

I got that as well, I stopped talking about it!! One even told me it was black magic... riiight.

I told my partner, who thinks I'm crazy but they thought that before I started LDing...so...

Yeah, I just talk about it online, and if anyone brings up the subject I'll talk about it, but usually no-one has heard of it, or knows what it is.

The book 'Lucid Dreams in 30 days' and the tiny almost useless bit in Castanada's Don Juan books was all I had access too. IT was so much harder than it is now to get any info.

Wow congratulations!! Would you recommend the book over learning online though? Sometimes it feels like some tutorials contradict each other and it's kinda hard to know what information to trust...

That book is not bad. It is nothing special but has the basic info. An online forum like this is much better. Some tutorials may contradict eachother but you have to figure out what works for you. I suggest signing up for the intro and MILD classes in the DVA subforum.
