Smile So very nice to meet you all

Ok so as my title says 'lurker' I have been browsing this site for some time now. I've been reading(and processing) quite a lot about lucid dreaming in the past..let's say...one month. I had 3 somewhat unexpected DILDs until now but I 'destroyed' all of them with my enthusiasm, as if the dreams were afraid of me I was made to wake up(which is kinda frustrating). Recently I understood why that happened, intense emotions wake you up if you are a beginner....I have been keeping a dream journal too (for like 1 month) and it's going well, sometimes I can remember up to 3 dreams/night.
Nevertheless, I don't know how active people are on this site but I feel welcomed because I suppose all the members on this forum are drawn to the same ideas : achieving lucidity in dreams, controlling dreams, overcoming nightmares and so on.
P.S.: I want to thank this site for providing so much USEFUL and INTRIGUING and AMAZING information about dreams, also wanna thank all the members who contributed and wrote about their experiences and shared their points of view among with tutorials !!! *gasps*

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

That's true, that too much excitement may wake you up prematurelly form a lucid dream. But do keep your enthusiasm to get more LD, just calm yourself down after you enter LD.

DJ is great to have and your recall seems very good. And indeed, you are welcomed to the forum. Everybody here is very nice and we all have same goal in mind - to lucid dream, to learn and share knowledge about LDing. Happy dreams

      Welcome!

It is true that overexcitement can kill your recall, same goes for when you're in the lucid. However, it can also be random. Sometimes we don't recall much, it tends to go up and down for me and some nights I don't recall anything and others I recall 5+ dreams.

      Welcome to the forum!

We do have a lot of active people here! The tutorials are written by people who spend time paying attention to their dreams. I hope you find them useful and I encourage you to share your experiences with us.

Keep up that Dream Journal. Doing a few Reality Checks might help. Check these out:

That info might allow you to become lucid and remain lucid.

If you have any questions please ask. Post on the forum or send any of us a private message by clicking on our profile names.

      Pleasant dreams!

Thank you for your kind replies. I knew about Yoshi's secret all day awareness technique. Read it two or three times. It strikes me that people managed to figure it out how natural lucid dreamers know when they are dreaming ! This forum/site is awesome indeed. I'm amazed how many people learned from the lucid dreaming veterans and how many people are to learn (such as me). And reality checks, meh, I'm still trying to find out which works best for me, as to remember to do it as many times as possible each day. I'm practicing looking at my hands and seriously asking myself if my surrounding are in fact a dream. I'm also holding my nose with my right hand to see if I can still breathe (at least when I'm home). I've also wrote ''are you dreaming?'' on post-its at my desk, on my computer screen, and on my room's door. Thank you guys you people are awesome.
