      Welcome to Dreamviews, filemon!

Hm, you say you can't curb your enthusiasm when you realize you dreaming? Do you mean that you have already realized you are dreaming during a dream? That would mean, you had a Lucid dream. And there is no other way around it, just to get less excided when you realize you are dreaming. It will get easier after you have more lucid dreams.

Well, in either case, we'll be happy to help you with all your questions. Here is a DV Academy. Check it out to see, if there is a class you would like to participate in.
Or just post your question or experiences. Happy dreams

The Dream Journal was a great advice Here is the next one, because I think it's important that you get to know this already.

Don't just write your dreams down in the Dream Journal for the purpose of remembering, write them down and understand that every single detail you remember is a sign of awareness within the dream. So the more that you remember, the more aware you are. Also use the dream journal to analyze your attempts, for example:

Is there something that might affect your chances of having a lucid dream? Like too late bedtimes or stress?

Is there something I can do to fix those problems? Like going to bed earlier or stress relief meditation?

By analyzing my attempts I managed to come up with this method when I was just a beginner!

      http://www.dreamviews.com/f15/if-you...ams-try-93005/

Even though I realized it myself, it already did exist xD Tibetan Lucid Dream Method. of course... ^-^

But my point is that by observing and analyzing your attempts you can progress much faster.

And also remember that methods and techniques are good for you know, but later on you need to find a way for you to perform them naturally, that way you can make it a regular process.

Sweet dreams Remember that if you have any questions, the Dream Guides are here to help, so don't heistate to ask!

My only advice is to take your time and enjoy the journey. Non-lucid dreams can be just as great as lucid dreams. If you are already having vivid, memorable dreams, you are on your way

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. The Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

The very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!

P.S. sorry for reposting on your intro thread, but I thought you may like the added links.

Are you keeping a dream journal? That would help with recall. How to dream journal when no recall
Read DV threads and dream journals of other for motivation.
Only you can fix your sleeping pattern. Good luck.

right getting back om track ,placing emphasis on reality checks , also recall improving ! i have been focusing on wbtb method .i wake up approx 5 hours after going asleep. i find when between sleep and awake - just before(or as) sleep paralysis takes affect ....... i seem to either have a FA or go into dream non-lucid or just wake up all together out of pure excitment !!!! slightly frustrated , however i will persevere . i was thinking of trying choline bitartrate , melatonine or vit b6 ??? does any1 have any experience with such things?????????? are they worth a go????
