      Vivid Dreams

After researching about Lucid dreaming and trying to achieve them, I've been having very vivid dreams. I've only started to do this for 2 weeks, and from having vivid dreams lately, I think I'm going in the right track. The only thing is, I couldn't manage to be aware that I'm dreaming. Although, I am still in the process of doing RC and make it as a habit. But I've been also trying to figure out my dream signs and I can't pick any, my dreams are random and I can't seem to find a dream sign at all that pops up in every dream. Any tips?
Once, I almost became lucid. In my dream, I just finished a movie which I reacted like it was my first time, but at the same moment, I had a feeling that I saw the movie before which then I realized that I must be dreaming, but then I woke up.

      Hey Krito.
Do you keep a dream diary?, this is a big one if you want to work out your dream sign. After a few days of writing down your dreams, look back and see if there's a common occurrence in them. Sometimes it will change. You may have something the same in your dreams for a week and then the next week your dream sign may be something else. I tend to have my bedroom or my hubby in mine. Also, when you do realise that your dreaming, relax and call out "clarity now" which will enable your sight etc to become clearer then rub your hands together to stabilise your dream scene. If you get over excited when you realise you are dreaming this in turn will wake you up and ruin your attempt, so get in the habit of remembering to stay calm when you realise, this may take a few attempts but you'll soon get the hang of it. Remember to say a small mantra as you go to sleep, something simple like " when I'm dreaming ill realise I'm dreaming" and do reality check during the day. Just stop and say to yourself "am I dreaming", don't answer yourself though, just ask the question and do the finger through palm check or hold you're nose and see if you can breathe through it. This will eventually become a habit you will do automatically in your dreams and then you will realise that you are . I'm sure you'll get more replies with other suggestions, all you can get will help you. Want any more help then feel free to PM me....oh and welcome to DV

Thank you very much for the helpful tips, Angie! I will definitely do everything to achieve lucid dreaming. :'D
I really want to have a good lucid dream, but I know that it will take quite some time so I'll be sure to be patient as well. Patience is a virtue after all. Haha.
And thank you for welcoming me! :'D

Hey Kirito and welcome to Dreamviews!

I am a little short in time so I will just give you the two things that got me started and that I know is a really good way to start out for a beginner to learn the basics but also the more advanced stuff.

I still return to these two videos and learn new things even though I have practised for 4 years myself and have watched the videos about 20 times each. ^-^

The first one is to watch the Matrix (The first movie primarily, but also the second and third if you feel like it) and really think about the philosophy behind it. How do I truly know that something is real? The point is that you can't, when you understand why, you'll be aware of your dreams. I got crazy and paranoid and started to think "What is reality, Is this real?" you can think alot about the movie but you don't have to go nuts like me. But you can atleast get paranoid on command, because it's basically what you need to be in order to make a reality check properly.

So video nummero uno: The Matrix - Un-Official Trailer HD (1999) - YouTube

And don't download it, well if you do atleast do it in blue-ray...

And my next video is in my eyes the best video tutorial of lucid dreaming there is, he demonstrates with his video how it is like to lucid dream and explains the theory behind it all.
As I said good to watch if you want to learn the basics, but also if you want to learn the advanced stuff later.

The one and only Tim Post! Learn lucid dreaming: part 1 - YouTube (PS. the first videos might look boring but he will use effects and better camera etc in the later ones.)

Good luck and and always ask if you need any help!

      Thank you Mastermind!
I've seen Matrix before, but that was quite awhile ago, so I will definitely watch it through again, pay as much attention to it. It will also be a fun watch, The Matrix is an awesome movie after all! And I'd like to know it better since I saw the movie a long time ago, I can't quite remember the important stuff about the movie. :3
The next video, I'll watch it as soon as possible. I'm sure it will help me like it helped you. Thank you for all the tips! I'll take note of all these and will surely ask for questions if I have any! Thanks! :'D

I can guess you are a fan of sword art online, it's a good series, I need to get to finishing it.

Thank you for all the welcomes everyone! And I'm sure I'll be here for a very long time!

Yep, you've guessed it right, I'm a fan of Sword Art Online. An amazing Anime series and novel as well. :'D I've actually dreamed about Sword Art Online. Well, it wasn't exactly Sword Art Online, it had the same concept, an online virtual game and stuff. It was rather Sci-fi, busting aliens instead. It was an awesome dream, I only wished that I was lucid at that time! That would have been more awesome, but either way, it was an awesome vivid dream.
From this, you could already guess that I'm quite an Anime freak. Lol. But knowing many anime would be helpful once I get the hang on of lucid dreaming, I'd like to visit any known anime, meet Goku, and more. Of course, try out a bunch more things. xD

Good luck with your Anime LDing, I have tried to do that once or twice, although I haven't successfully added any anime dream characters, since I almost always have 3D dreams, and it just doesn't work

Thanks! I'm sure it would work out with anime dreaming, although, I see what you mean. 3D dreams are often and what we're used to. :'P

I'm sure you can learn to do it, I've done various stills when establishing/regaining control of a dream, and I have had 2D dreams before, just not any lucid one's yet

Either way, I'm interested to see what your anime style dreams will be like, good luck :p

Yeah, I can't find any significant dream signs as well. I just woke up from a dream a few minutes ago actually. :'P
Now, I'm just trying to do Wake-Back-To-Bed technique which I'll go back to sleep in a couple minutes. Lol.
And sure, I'll add you on Skype. :'D

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
