      Hey guys

So I'm SuperDreamer and my Lucid Dream count is 0 because I have induced 0 lucid dreams on my own.. I've had a few though! I joined because a lot of people don't care about lucid dreaming at school, and I'm guessing since you guys are on a forum you care about it! Anyone ever see a double of themselves in their dream and freak out?

      Welcome SuperDreamer!

I know the feeling, the most awesome lucid dream adventure in the world doesn't mean anything to the one you are explaining it to, unless they really understand how it's like.
And some people doesn't even believe it is possible. So yeah this forum is a really great place to share the joy of this nightly hobby of ours.

One thing I want to mention about lucid dream count though.

Don't see it like that and by the way just a personal advice from me, don't count them either. It makes the process of lucid dreaming look long and difficult.

If you want you can look back and think negative thoughts like "Oh I have had 0 lucid dreams". Or you can look forward and realize that there is no limits at all.

And besides there is also a problem of defining what counts as one lucid dream and a dream at all for that matter, so I can say that I one night have 7 lucid moments or lucid dreams, but I can also say that I had 2. But if counting your dreams motivates you etc. then you should of course continue doing it, in whatever way that you are comfortable with.

I hope you enjoy your stay and have awesome dreams. Remember to always ask if there is something you wonder about, or if you just want to discuss.

      Sweet dreams!

I had a time where I was just laying in bed and my wife asked me a question. I answered and she said nothing like she hadn't heard me. I then heard someone else answer and she replied. I sat up and saw myself. He was smiling at me and I grabbed him and through him (me) to the ground. I then realize that I had been trying to DEILD. So I just got up and walked outside.

That's crazy, the dream I had was I was looking in a mirror and I knew I was looking at my soul; it was a bright colorful blob. I looked in the corner of the mirror and I saw myself, then as I turned around it just stared at me. I ran into another bathroom, one after another and around every corner I would see this other me. It was an overwelming feeling of fear. I too had a dream of looking at myself, except in dreams when I see myself sleeping I get that overwelming sense of fear. It's something I hope to get over from LDing.

Yeah. I think that the control you can have in LD s can help conquer fears a lot.

Welcome to Dream Views! This is the place to be for anyone wanting to learn how to lucid dream. There is no quick answer to your question, but the Dream guide team is here to help you navigate the forum and answer questions. We all have 3 green stars above our avatar. Click on our user name and you can then select private message if you have a question, or you can start new threads. Don't worry about starting threads that have been started before, just try it out, if it ends up in the wrong place one of us can move it for you.

One thing you can do in a post is place a link to another thread. I have done this below. You can click on the colored words to see the new thread. Start with this extra basic one, it will help you read the acronyms in other posts, Help With Acronyms For Complete Beginners

After that one the very first thing you should do is check out basic tutorials. This one covers most of the terms you will see members using in much more depth, so start here, http://www.dreamviews.com/f20/beginn...eaming-124786/

Also be sure to check out the DVA Dream Views Acadamy, click on this link to get there, DV Academy.

Matte , our Dream Guide team leader runs a general lucid dreaming class, and you can join in contests where you gain points for dreams you have. General Lucid Dreaming (Matte87)

Gab , another Dream Guide runs a class that is very valuable to beginners on MILD/DILD, which is by far the best method to start with. DILD (Hukif and gab)

Finally as far as the DVA stuff goes, there is a class on introduction to lucid dreaming. This is a great place if you are just starting out and need a little personal help. Intro Class (OpheliaBlue, RareCola, CanisLucidus, Chimpertainment, Xanous)

Now, on the lighter side, you may be excited to learn to fly! Here is a thread where people explain how they went about learning to fly, http://www.dreamviews.com/f14/can-u-...u-learn-40468/

Then just for a laugh here is a thread where people list all the things they want to do in an LD. It is mostly light hearted and supposed to be funny, http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/1000-t...-dream-104556/

Have fun and good luck with your dreaming!
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
