Thread: my first lucid dream

Let me give a little background. ive wanted to lucid dream for a while but never tried doing any techniques to lucid dream. But Yesterday I fell sleep on my boyfriends lap, when I woke up he said i was doing crazy things in my sleep and then it hit me, I asked him if I was breathing writers and he said yes and that I was also twitching. I remembered I had a dream that I was drowning but I didn't become lucid until I gave up on holding my breath and took a deep breath and I could breath under water. That was it that's all I can remember but I remember semi waking up and thinking it was finally okay to sleep weather Im in the water or not. Why did the dream end as soon as I became lucid?
