      Improvement in lds

      Hi!
Im now registered on ths forum so i can ask you for some opinions.
I started to (3rd time, 1st and 2nd i gave up) increase my recall and awareness a few weeks ago but i wasn't really persistent every day. Sometimes few days passed abd i did nothing, not a single rc or anything else. Last few days I'm more persistent and i began to write a dream journal.
Im trying to do it every day but that journal is the hardest thing to me. I often forget to write it or i don't remember any dreams at all.
My routine is doing few rcs over the day (4+), fingers through palm and breathing through a plugged nose and asking myself if I'm dreaming. Then, when i go to bed, i usually repeat I'll remember my dreams and that i will be aware. I wake up naturally at night, 3-5AM. Then i stay awake 20-60 mminutes, repeat the same as before and go try wild. I had 2 dream induced lds but not with reality checking. It just happened. One lasted maybe 10 sec because i got over excited, that one was maybe a month ago, that was about the same time as i completely gave up from trying it. Now im into it again and i had one more which lasted about 2 minutes because i did that palm to palm rubbing to focus. This was 2 days ago. Yesterday i almost had a wild, i fell asleep aware but i didnt imagine a scenery well, ended up with bad start of a dream, got scared, woke up. No sleep paralysis though.

I also remember that during 2 dilds i was aware of the fact that im dreaming and i had influence on dream. But as the time passes im starting to think that i was not that aware and that i didn't control the dream. But the moment i woke up from it i was sure that i did. Idk whats happening, is this normal?

What can i do to improve awareness, recall, and how often it happens?

Jot some notes down when you wake up about your dreams, then you can fill the rest in later.

Indeed, DJ is the best tool we have. You can set your journal right next to your pillow, so you don't forget to write in it. I have it on bathroom sink so it's handy, when I use the restroom at night, or first ting in the morning. If you know it will help you, you should be motivated to use it.

You could increase the number of RCs you do. But even more important than quantity, is the quality. When you ask yourself if you dreaming, you should really believe, that it is a possibility. The stronger you believe, the better.

Well, it didn't just happened. You became lucid because of your awareness question, and questioning your reality. RCs don't really get us lucid. They are mostly just a great tool of awareness training. Sometimes they do confirm lucidity.

Sleep paralaysis is not part of lucid dreaming. Just go ahead and forget everything you ever read about it. What you may get when you WILDing is normal falling asleep sensations, that we normally don't experience, since by then, we are asleep.

Control doe's not a lucid dream make. You can have none, or different degrees of control. The only requirement for a dream to be called lucid is to know, while in a dream, that you are dreaming.

Recall - writing in dream journal
      Awareness - practicing daytime awareness
