      Natural Lucid Dreamer

Until a few months ago, I didn't know that people weren't aware during their dreams. I have been a lucid dreamer all my life, and it just happened. I didn't have nightmares as a kid, or start meditating to achieve it, or write an A for Aware on my hand during dreams; it just has always been there.
During my dreams, I do pretty much whatever. I can rewind and then re-do, change appearances of anyone and anything present, and end the dream if I want to. Sometimes I just switch dreams to something random, and then watch how that one plays out without changing something or interfering (like watching movie), and then take control when I want to.
I can't meditate. I have tried once to see how it was. I tried the trick where you're conscious of your breaths and imagine the penny on your chest, but I suck at it. There's always that sound, or the question "am I doing this right," or I'm like "that breath was longer than the last one." It might be because I'm still really young (15) and maybe you get better at controlling your thoughts as you get older, but I know I can't meditate. I haven't been able to keep my mind clear without thinking "keep your mind clear," or "hey my mind is clear," for more than about two seconds (I counted, also why I can't meditate).
I lucid dream every night. My dad says he;s has a lucid dream before but it only happened once. I am the only current lucid dreamer in my family that lives right now, and none of my friends can lucid dream (or they don't admit to it).
I just kind of want to talk to people about their lucid dreams so I don't feel like such an outcast. So what are some things you can do while lucid? Are you a natural lucid dreamer? Why is it so hard for people to go lucid durng dreams? Is a lucid dream like an OBE, except not really? Can you have on OBE if you stay in a place between shutting down a dream and waking up? Someone said the reason it's so hard for me to meditate is because I'm already at the "perfect meditation" while lucid and I go lucid every night, is that true? I'm new to this, obviously.

You can do ANYTHING you can imagine in a LD.
I am not a natural LDer
It is not really clear why some people are natural LDers and others not.
Yes, like an OBE. It can be very realistic(as you may know, but if you don't experience LDs like that, the do stabilization)
shutting down a dream and waking up? For that, you can use DEILD(when you're waking up, stay still and keep your eyes closed, and when you are awake, imagine a dream(calmly, don't stress about imagining it vividly), and you would enter that dream in a very short time(seconds(lucidly, of course))
Do you mean meditate in a LD? I will presume not. Even if you are a natural, that doesn't mean that you can meditate perfectly. Try benaury beats or isocronic tones while meditating to help you relax.

You will catch on. Understanding LDing is a piece of cake!
      Good Luck!!

Meditation is distraction. The active element of mindfulness is to be distracted, recognise that distraction, and return to the object of meditation. So you can't do it wrong. If you could concentrate perfectly without distraction you wouldn't need to meditate, because you'd already be a Buddha. The purpose of meditation isn't to empty your mind, it's to become aware of the emptiness of phenomena. So, next time you're distracted in meditation just label that distraction ('thought', 'sound', etc.) and return to the breath, or whatever you choose as an object.

Nice!! Any tips on how to use meditation for self-awareness?
