      Hey there, this is Valdast94!

Hey there guys, this is Valdast94! I'm an Italian guy and I used to lucid dream when I was a child, but I lost this ability when growing up. Besides, I have poor dream recall, but I want to improve, because I've always been fascinated by lucid dreams. I've been meditating daily for 8 months now and I recently got into creative visualization, so I thought it would be great to combine these things with lucid dreaming (I want to use it mainly for fun, but also as a sort of mental rehearsal).
I spontaneously had a lucid dream a couple of weeks ago after a session of creative visualization, but then nothing else and I still have poor dream recall.
I started yesterday my dream journal and I've begonnen to do reality checks (the technique I want to use is MILD because I like it, it goes well along with my lifestyle and I already have good visualization skills).

Anyway, this is my short story, I hope you can help me in this journey and I'll do the same as soon as I get more experience.

      Catch you on the forum!

      Welcome to Dreamviews Valdast!

If you're having troubles with dream recall there is a heap of things that can help you out, first of all I would recommend checking out the http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...ompendium.html and having a read through all of the information there, I'm sure it would help you out in one way or another. There are also some vitamins and foods that are known to improve dream recall, so there is a lot you can do to improve it!

Other then that, enjoy your stay!

First off, thanks anyone for the welcome posts!

Concerning Phased's post, thanks for the tips! Tonight I wrote down my second dream (I woke up in the middle of the night). The point is that during the dream I had another dream and I was trying to remember whether it was lucid or not..which was quite difficult since I was already dreaming Anyway, I didn't do any reality checks, but I guess that I only need to keep doing them in the waking world to get that handled.

Yeah, it's all about consistency when it comes to reality checks, it also helps later on when you have a lot of dreams in your dream journal to go back through them and find some dream signs - dream signs are basically common occurrences throughout your dreams, things you do a lot in your dreams, places you seem to often be at in dreams. When you have about 10-15 dreams recalled and written down, have a look through them all and find some common recurrences and that's how you get your dream signs - from there it's as easy as doing a reality check every time one of your dream signs happens in your waking life.

Stick at it, and sweet dreams.

      Welcome to Dremviews!

I don't believe that you lost your ability to lucid dream as you grew up. Maybe only your priorities changed. Anyway, glad you decided to joing us. If you need help with anything, just ask. Happy dreams

Well, you are probably right gab ^^ Anyway, my dream recall is getting better, last night I woke up several times and I wrote 5 dreams in my dream journal (no lucid ones)..well, not whole dreams, but I remembered most of them and I'm already starting to notice some dream signs, some patterns, I'm sure I'll be lucid dreaming soon!

Thanks for the support, I'm improving thanks to you guys!
