      So, uh, I'm back

Hey guys. I feel kind of phony posting this since I've never been active at all on this forum ever since I joined, but I've changed a lot over these two past years and I feel the need to make another introduction thread.

Basically, I've been heavily involved in lots of occult stuff ever since I made this account. It started with one or two books, out of curiosity mostly, and now most of my free time is spent meditating. As a result, my visualization skills have sky-rocketed, and I've become quite good at VILDing, but I also fear I may be slightly batshit insane. Not in the "lel le p3ngu1n of d00m" way, but I think there's a thin line between practicing sane forms of magick and being locked up in a psych ward cause you believe you're the second coming of Jesus.

Anyway, back on the topic of LDing. My dream control is almost perfect now. I hope I don't sound like I'm bragging, but anything I can do while daydreaming I can do while dreaming. It makes most dreams pretty one-sided, so I try not to abuse it. I call this "The Wizard Syndrome", after the stereotipically broken wizard class in D&D. If you've got a spell for every single problem you could ever encounter, you don't have real problems anymore.

Thanks for reading my new and updated introduction. I hope I don't sound too pretentious or arrogant. So, yeah, hi.

      You sound so interesting!
I have a strange side effect from practicing visualization stuff, I have visual hallucinations just about all the time now! I wonder if you have something similar.

I agree completely about the thin line. I definitely think that you have to be unafraid about losing your mind to explore some of that stuff.

That's great that you're so good at lucid dreaming now, I'm really jealous! I personally still struggle occasionally with dream control and VILD. Maybe you can give me some tips for how you do VILD via pm or something.

I look forward to seeing you around the forum!

Hey there AnotherDreamer. Thanks for responding. Yeah, I have some side effects too, but I think it's a minor price to pay for such a wonderful ability as vivid visualization. I do have to be careful with my emotions though, otherwise I start having some pretty morbid hallucinations, especially at night.

What problems do you have with VILDing? Someone who has mastered visualization to the degree that they can imagine something with full plasticity/as if it were literally there shouldn't have any problems with pulling of a V-WILD. We can compare techniques, if you want. Oh and btw nice wings.

      Welcome back!

I do also have a super vivid visualization, for my entire life

V-WILD is pretty cool. Been using that naturally!

Lucid visualization is the only way I know to induce lucid dreaming, dild or wild, doesn't matter... (besides supps ofc)

Are you guys talking about third eye/ear/second tongue... visualization or the real see hallucination visualization?

I personally using may third/second visualization usually with eyes open and not so passive. And really need to practice it more to become better. I think this lucid visualization is the same think as lucid dreaming only without rem state of mind. What do you think?

I'm talking about the controlled hallucination type of visualization. You can V-WILD using the less vivid minds-eye visualization, but I feel that's it's much quicker and cooler to do it by truly seeing what you're visualizing.

If you're good enough at visualizing things plastically(as if they were truly there), you can produce low-level dreams pretty much at will. Of course, you still require REM in order to enter a true LD, but if you concentrare hard enough you can make your 'fake' LD just as real as real life. I think someone once called this a Lucid Daydream. My method of V-WILDing is just starting up one of these low-level dreams and waiting for REM to hit. Once it does, everything is suddenly really vivid and the dream start shaping itself.

Wow, didn't think I'd find someone else that does what I do so quickly. You mean you can do all this vivid visualization stuff NATURALLY? Wow. I thought I was talented cause I could make lines and cubes with my eyes open without any training. It took me, like, 1 and a half years to get to the point where I can truly see anything I want as if it were really there. I wish this type of visualization got more attention. It's so interesting!

Exactly this happened to me several times when I succeeded at VWILD. I'm not able to use my hallucination visualization not even with my eye closed, but the mind visualization works the same way for inducing vwild/mild and it's easier to do.

Few people on the forums actually can see not existing things and are able to control them? Are you guys one of them? I mean if you look on the table, can you create from colors real object to see? O_o

Well, I mostly do this type of visualization with my eyes closed, but if I concentrated hard enough I could, for example, make a 'fake' apple appear on the table. Although when I do it with my eyes open, all sensory information besides what I'm creating usually fades away. So, if I try to make a clock on the wall, I'll see the clock just fine, but I won't really be able to see the wall anymore.

It's a pretty common skill in most occult communities, but anywhere else it's very rare. It takes lots of time to develop.

And what is your step by step practice? How did you developed visualizations from beginner to such a level?

Perhaps we should talk over PMs rather than cluttering up this thread. Anyway, I followed the method detailed in Initiation into Hermetics by Franz Bardon. You can get a free pdf online(not that I condone doing that or anything). The interesting parts which relate to visualization are all in the second part(practical exercises): the "Magic Mental Training" in both steps 2 and 3(concentration exercises).

Essentially, the method is to get a couple objects from around the house and look at them. Analyze them, look at their shape, color and angles. Next, close your eyes and try to see them as if they were truly there('plastically'). Once you can do that, learn to do it with your eyes open. Next, instead of doing it with your sight, use your tactile and auditory senses. Then, start building landscapes and shit. Remember, you have to SEE everything, not only in your minds-eye, but with your real eyes.

Read the book if you want a detailed explanation and PM me if you want some more help. Oh and don't be put off by the occult stuff in it. If you don't believe in it just act like it doesn't exist and read only the Mental Exercises(they usually don't contain magick stuff).
