      Talking Hi there

About three years ago I read about LDing and I remembered how I seemed to dream a lot more when I was a child. Vaguely I even remember having lucid experiences. Looking into it, I learned that I didn't dream more, but I remembered more and I with some work I would be able to get back to that.

After training for a while I had a lucid dream (I decided to fly and it worked), but I was to busy in life and I stopped putting effort into it. Maybe a year later I did another attempt, after a while I reached my goal, breathing under water, and I stopped again....... Now, realizing that I have the opportunity to spend time on it, I've started another attempt...

I think the information on Dreamviews is/will be useful to me, and also the possibility to "talk" to people seriously interested in the subject, can't seem to find any in my surroundings.. So..... here I am!

I'll be starting a workbook, and probably "lurk" a lot

      to Dreamviews, Hirondelle!

Lucid dreaming is such a wonderful and special thing, no wonder that so many people return to it as soon as their busy lives let them.

I just "returned" myself to actively WILDing after forced break of 8 month. And I'm so happy to be back.

So I'm glad you decided to make an account and talk to us. Talking and sharing on the forum is one of the best motivations. So please let us know if you have any question. Happy dreams.

      Good evening Hirondelle and welcome

Lurking around DV is one of my favourite things to do - it keeps my mind on dreaming and I always find interesting things to read that folk have shared ...as well as people's sense of humour too

      See you around

Actually Gab, a question pops up reading your reply. You say that you've just "returned" after a break. With more experience, does it get easier to get back into it after a break? (or do you feel you really have to start all over again?)

Well I didn't leave Dreamviews, I was here same as before (24/7, haha), participating the same, still DJing, only focusing more on DILDs. I just had to do night shifts, so my morning naps when I used to WILD were out of the question. I still WILDed a few time in the afternoon nap, but with my life being upside down and I never really settled into nocturnal life, plus all the stress from job and not being able to sleep normally, it was not the same.

Now, few weeks after returning to day shifts, I'm back to normal. I had a WILD and DEILD on 3 days out of 4. I used to be like this just before my switch to night shifts. I would say it's like riding a bicycle, haha. With DILDs it may be a bit different, since after you stop practicing and thinking about dreams, your DILDs may get more scarse. Unless you got to the point where you are able to recognize the dream state and get lucid from that.

Before WILDing I motivate myself by reading the TOTM thread Tasks of the Month & Year , I reply to some threads, or I read some LDing related book.

      Happy dreams and ask anything.

Thank you for your answer. I guess it is in the line of what I hoped the answer would be. I was thinking about the fact that at the moment, and more months to come, I have the possibility to spend (a lot of) time on this. But eventually that will stop, or be a lot less and it would be such a shame if the abilities that I (hope to) have acquired by then would disappear.
