Old member coming back

Hello

I thought it'd be a good idea to introduce myself, even though I made this account 3 or 4 years ago, when I was still a junior in high school, now I'm a university freshman.

You'd think I should be an expert in lucid dreaming by now, but I actually lost interest in it for this time...I had some unrelated problems with my sleeping, more of a medical thing than a dream thing,
which is why I couldn't enjoy lucid dreaming as before - fortunately it's all back to normal now.

I tend to treat my dreams quite seriously, they tend to invoke strong emotions within me and often feel more real than life itself. I have a lot of re-occuring places and characters, many of which I've seen for years. I typically remember 2-3 dreams per night, I seem to remember the most dreams if I sleep about 9 hours, nothing shorter or longer than that.
I'm also an OOBE practioner, which I find to be very closely related to dreams.

Other than dreaming, I'm interested in gaming, psychology and writing - mostly science fiction and horror.

I hope to find a lot of interesting people to talk here

may i ask where you see the difference between oobe and ld besides of induction maybe?

. I also have the same question as RelaxandDream. How do you tell the difference? Do you have a way to prove to yourself that it's not an LD?

As to the question I was asked about OOBE and LD -
I find OOBE to be different quality-wise, but it's not a rule, so I have to say I can't clearly tell the difference between them. Most of the times however, OOBE feels solid and rigid, the world is not bending to my will so much as in case of LDs. But I couldn't really decisively say that they are something different.
