Some random tips that help me a lot :
- Go to bed normally and only after 4-6 hours of sleep begin your attempts at having lucid dreams. That way You'll have plenty of good sleep before you start messing with your natural sleeping habits. But if you're worried you might fall asleep again you can set an intention like : " When the alarm goes off, I will stay awake."
- During reality checks imagine and try to get the feeling ( unique to everyone ) of how it would feel like to become lucid right now.
- Always do a reality check when waking up, so if you happen to have a false awakening you'll catch it and you'll get a lucid dream.
- Write down all the worries you might have and place them on your table. The worries are for tomorrow. The night is all for the lucid dream attempt.
- Don't try to force yourself to sleep, that's impossible.
