      Reconnecting...

I had my first Lucid Dream accidentally at the age of 14. Not actually knowing what lucid dreams were lead me here in my search to understand, the forum had done just that for me and in some ways contributed towards the foundation of my spiritual journey and gave me the tools I needed to start having lucid dreams whenever I wanted, the problem was I got use to doing it so often that I hit a dry spout (probably due to a decline in mental effort as I got use to doing it) and have pretty much been in that dry spout since with the odd half lucid dream rarely to never.
My hopes are that by coming back to DreamViews now at the age of 31, I may be able to reconnect with that aspect of myself once again.

It's interesting for me to see that you had a very good ability to have lucid dreams at one point and that it just went away like that. Really puts into perspective the effects of practice and being mindful/aware.

I do hope you can regain your ability to where you would like it to be, or perhaps even further.

Hello. I'm pretty new here at the site but wanted to say hi. I am in the process of reconnecting to my lucid dreaming self as well. I'm finding that it's like learning to ride a bike again, kind of wobbly and shaky at first but it comes back. I'm not lucid dreaming regularly or for long periods of time like before. They come in odd little bunches. But it's all good. Hope your transition isn't so wobbly or sporadic as mine. See you round n about.
