Smile Hello, everyone. My name is Lydia.

Hello, everyone! I have been trying to get into lucid dreaming. Or rather back into it. I used to be able to do it quite well, but then I somehow got out of the habit and now I can't seem to have a lucid dream to save my life. I like playing a lot of video games and reading, so I do have dreams about video game worlds but I never seem to become lucid. I guess looking up and seeing a dragon flying overhead isn't enough to tip me off? Well I found this site while searching Google for lucid dreaming advice, so here I am. I hope to have some lucid dreams soon!

      Welcome Lydia!

What kinds of games do you play and dream about? A MILD/autosuggestion can be helpful to gain lucidity if some of these dragons are quite frequent. Try a mantra like "I see a dragon, I must be dreaming!".

Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

Right now I am very much addicted to Skyrim VR, so I dream of that quite often. In the past I have had dreams of Ratchet and Clank, Assassin's Creed (Altair shows up often), Prototype (Alex Mercer), God of War, Legend of Zelda. I want to try doing a RC every time I see something from Skyrim since it's VR, but it's difficult to do a RC with a VR headset on! Using a mantra might help, though. I'll try starting that. I also read, I am reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King right now so I might dream of that, too. Thanks.

Welcome to DV! Just reading the forum can help a lot as it gets your mind focused on lucid dreaming. Also, we have a dream journal feature, and writing your dreams down is a great way to stimulate more vivid dreams.
