You might regret it - but drink enough liquids that make you need to pee, and have bathroom dreams, but not enough to make you pee the bed LOL. Although you might have to wake up for one of these which is what you Don't want to do right? OK, um, do reality checks while in the bathroom, but only if you're going to try this technique. At least for me, I always have bathroom dreams, where I can't find one, people are looking at me, you know it's just weird. Try this technique to get a feel for a LD. Unless you have a hard time holding it in, I wouldn't do it.
P.S. I've tried the beeping watch technique, but it's either only twice on the hour, which isn't enough for you to register in your brain. Or you set an alarm and it goes off every 5 minutes, which won't go off until you turn it off, which interrupts your sleep, wheather you know it or not. Also, if you have your hands under the sheets or you're lying on your watch you won't hear it. NOT effective at all - at least for me. It's not strong enough for most people. RCs are a better and stronger way to get the hang of LDing.
