      <<<Help>>>>

      Hi
So i only created this account to tell every1 about my dissatisfaction ive had

i learned about lucid dreaming when i was 15. I was able to have some lucid dreams a couple times a week probably. Stopped trying after and forgotten all about it.

Now im 18, but i want to start having some again. ive been trying for the past 2 weeks with no avail. Every night i write down a dream i can remember which is at least 1 per night but no lucidity!!!!!!!!

i really want to have a lucid dream again it was soooooo much fun lol.

ps i do reality checks during the day like looking at my watch twice. looking at my hands. pinching my nose. but in my dream i dont.

      Thanks Guys/Girls

Your not doing anything wrong here mufc123....
Its been 3 years since you were lucid dreaming on the regular, it takes time to build up that level of awareness again and its easily lost. Keep it up and just KNOW your next lucid is just around the corner.
What technique are you focusing on?

So your using DILD? (dream induced lucid dream)
DILD is good, but you may want to combine your DILD efforts with a MILD. There are plenty of tutorials on here. Good luck!

Hi and welcome to DV. ^_^

Because you've lucid dreamed before, it doesn't mean that it is coming as fast to you again. Patience, will power and daily training, that's necessary. Keep doing your techniques.

Good luck with the lucid dreaming. Happy dreams!

Hi, I'm glad you decided to create an account here!

DILD is less about doing RCs in the dream and hoping you become lucid, and more about simply realizing that you're dreaming. Lucidity is caused by being conscious in the dream, which simply going through the motions of RCs will not produce. You gotta be diligent in doing your RCs with a certain mental attitude - don't simply plug your nose, try to breathe, and move on. Really try to be skeptical as to whether you're dreaming, and look around you, seeing if anything looks off. The more intensively you do this, the easier it could be to become lucid. Also, don't get frustrated! That's very important; probably one of the best things you can do. Lucid dreaming isn't a chore, and it isn't a race. You're not against a deadline where you "have to get an LD in a week after joining, otherwise you've failed". Some people get lucids their first night, others in a week, and others take months. Two weeks is not a long time to be trying, so just sit back and relax. You will have one eventually.

If you have any questions about techniques, recall, or anything else, feel free to let me know!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Hey, don't even worry about it, once you've had a few, you know you'll have them again. Its just a matter of time that you get that trigger going. Of course daily life affects it, you may not be aware, not getting enough sleep, to stressed out, dream recall is down the drain...remember to live a healthy, happy life and your dreams will follow.

Do you wake in the middle of the night for your MILD attempts? Try a Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) at least once per week. This will greatly increase your chances.

Check out this tutorial: WBTB Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

I've found it very helpful for you to KNOW and BELIEVE that Lucid Dreaming is a Gift that your Creator wants you to have and enjoy. Since coming back to the Lucid Dream world after a long hiatus, I've been incorporating more faith-based methods of inducing lucidity and exerting dream control. Seeing your identity as transcending space and time, being in the image of the Most High God, these are all beliefs that come in handy when praying for a lucid dream or using faith-filled words to control dream environments. Best of blessings to you! Knock and the door will be opened, Ask and it will be given to you... Thirst and you will be quenched.

Read Puffin's technique. I worked for me the night I read it.
