It keeps finding me, Please Help Me

      I thought I beat it.
      I thought I finally won.
It isn't gone. It's still here. Keeping me trapped in my dreams.

It places what I assume is it's hands on my head and pulls me in.
It's grasp is tight. I'm still awake... I can see everything around me but, I can't move. If I close my eye's I'm in the dream. I close them and I'm there. No sleeping involved.
It's just a shadow, a dark presence that follows me through. It kills them...
I can hear them hit the ground with a splat, bones crack and shatter. I can see the
mangled faces and open skulls. I hear them screaming in pain if they have not died
on contact. Children run around unsure where to go. I saved them... I told them where to go, where to hide. I felt as if they where mine and I needed to save them.
I stand in the middle of the dirt road and turn around. It's behind me chasing them.
I screamed at it.. "They are mine.. You can't have them" It left. I saved them I stood up to it. It left..I won... I thought.

      I closed my eye's....
The movie playing scared me. I beg to have it turned off. No-one will turn it off.
I walk to the kitchen and stop.
They are all dressed in white. Walking into my kitchen through the back door with emotionless faces... Falling into line when they think they belong folding themselves into boxes... human boxes.. they don't scream or even blink... one by one they come in all folding themselves into boxes... 19 men and women in my kitchen. I can see every face. There is a nurse I assume in the left back corner. She asked me not to step on them. I tip toed around them into the bathroom... Once I walk out the bathroom and tip toe my way around them to get back to the living room.. I turn around and all the people start screaming. Agony and pain, scared they look like they have no idea why they are in my kitchen. The screaming is killing me. I don't know what to do. I tried to run away but, I feel it again holding my head. The nurse in the corner is screaming at me. Telling me to help them.. begging me to please help them.. I can't help them they are human boxes. The bones are broken and they are a pile of mush. I don't understand how they are alive. The neck bones are sticking out, the arms are wrapped around them the legs come above and around their heads. Eyes are bleeding but they still see me. I see them. Perfect human boxes all sitting in a pole of blood.. their blood. Screaming still screaming. I know I am asleep...
I start screaming... "let me go. let me go." I'm trying so hard to wake up. I know it's a dream but, it's still holding me. I start crying and pulling away from myself. The bodies start to melt and their screams get louder filling with more pain. I'm begging for it let me go. I beg the nurse to help me but she helps the bodies melting trying to comfort them like this is normal. I'm screaming... I'm crying and all of a sudden I wake up...
I looked at the clock... that all happen in 43 minutes... 43 minutes is all i was laying down... I was crying and screaming as I awoke..

It hurts me while I sleep.. I can feel it's touch.. I awake with bruises and in pain..
I don't know what it is but, it has found me again and the dreams are getting worse and its grasp is getting tighter...

This is a journal page from a poetry site i write on.. I normally can control my dreams. I know that I am dreaming and sometimes I'm not sleeping but my body is. I can normally control my dreams, think in my dreams, make choices in my dreams, talk in my dreams. I can do anything I would do in real life. They feel real and I can remember every dream I have. The people in them, where I was, what they have said to me, any details. If I saw the people my dreams in real life I would know it was them. I have lost control and they getting bad. Something keeps me in my dreams now and follows me. I feel the touch just like if you touch me. I need help. I call it IT cause it has no gender i can feel. I'm new to this site so i could have posted this in the wrong spot. I would appercaite any help on this matter. A friend has told me I have shadow people following me but i have looked into shadow people and my experience doesn't really fall into that. I have always been into dreams and normally have control and the one teaching me about my dreams does not have an answer for me. Please help me.

I don't know what's going on, so I probably won't be much help. Those don't seem like normal nightmares, that's for sure. But you know what they say: "the only thing to fear is fear itself." Regardless of whether or not these are simply nightmares, or something greater, you still have to beat the fear. No matter how overpowering it may be, you have to face it.

I know it'll be hard, but definitely work on just calming yourself, think happy thoughts. Being serious. You're making them do this. Anything in your life that's happened or any thoughts related to this in ANY way? Really, don't worry about it. It WILL go away.

I've lost you there, what do you mean by "keeps you in your dreams and follows you", and by "losing control"? Do you have hallucinations or something? If you're really seeing dreams while you're awake, this is probably something that dreamviews advice won't fix.

Unless you just have terrible recurring lucid nightmares that you can't stop thinking about. That's a whole different story.

Keeps me in my dreams- I can't wake myself up or If i do awake (open my eyes) i can't move. At this point I can literally feel what i would say is hands holding my head. I can only close my eyes and when i do i just end up where i left at in the dream. it keeps me there.
Follows me- in my dreams there is a shadow that follows me where ever i go. its just a presence not a person.
Losing control- I cant control what is happening any more or awaking myself when needed. Feeling trapped and things are happening agaisnt my will in my dreams.

Yeah, sounds just like sleep paralysis/hypnagogic hallucinations to me. Nothing is "keeping you" anywhere. Your fear seems natural, but comes from lack of knowledge on the subject of sleep paralysis and hypnagogia. Read up on it.

Yeah, you're describing sleep paralysis. It can be extremely frightening, but understanding exactly what it is will be a huge relief. This video does a good job of explaining it:

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCSqT5nZ9n4

Hopefully this will put your mind to rest. Believe it or not, what you're experiencing is perfectly natural. It's just that usually it happens only during REM sleep and you aren't aware of it because you're asleep. In your case, it's happening while you 're aware of it. And the frightening nature of it is making you have nightmares.

The people in your dreams are all generated by your subconscious mind... all the terror and carnage is simply a reaction to the fear you're feeling at this strange experience that you don't understand. The pressure on your head... everyone describes that in SP. A sense of a presence.. ditto. There's a part of the brain called the Amygdala that's responsible for generating terror and primal aggression, and sometimes in SP it gets activated, causing terrible fear or anger. People get terrified at experiencing these things... in primitive cultures they might believe it's the work of a sorcerer or a curse and they might even die of stress-related disorders brought on by the fear. It's a good thing you found your way here where you can get some good scientific understanding of what's happening to you. I think once you realize it's nothing supernatural or even unnatural you'll be able to get over the fear that's overpowering you now in your sleep.

People say the way to stop SP is to just not sleep on your back. Try sleeping on your side and see if it stops.

"The one teaching me about my dreams does not have an answer for me."

Seriously??!! Someone who teaches about dreaming but doesn't know what sleep paralysis is? Is this an accredited teacher - sounds more like some kind of hack.

Yes. Some of us (like me) actually TRY to get sleep paralysis. Good things can happen, and it can be fun. If you take control with your mind, it is great.

Take a look at this thread where people describe what SP feels like to them: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=89229

      You are human.
When the night reached out across the lands, when the beasts began to stir and their howls pierced the sky, you stepped out into the shadows.
You lit the fire, you spread the light into the dark places, you kept the shadows at bay.

When the savage packs circled, thirsty for your blood, you gripped tight your weapons, you grasped hands with your friends, and you sent the predators running.

When the seas roared out their challenges, you threw it back upon the bow of a tallship. You danced upon those waves with the spirit of a stallion, and the sea looked on with pride.

When a tyrant rose up in the East, you boarded the ships into hell and fire. You dragged to safety your comrades, you liberated their kind. You found camps made by mad men, and you gave survivors food and water. You learned from your mistakes, you wept for your sins, and you embraced your kinsmen with forgiveness.

You threw back the challenges of the wild with a defiant smile and fire in your heart. You visited far-off worlds, you defeated famine and plague, you loved with passion that shook the earth, and questioned what is.

You are human. You need not fear the shadows.

(In short: It is your dream, YOUR dream. This demon is yours, you can send it away.)
